but at this point I sort of wish it would come for me. I'm dying from heat (I hear my Arizon flisters laughing at me). I've sweated so much I couldn't get my damn pants down, they were welded to me. And the diabetes = severe neuritis in my foot today. Whee.

Having a library book on hold and it being too hot to contemplate that stove, I went out for Mexican I haven't been there all summer. Enchilades cameron, yum. Naturally since i wore a white t-shirt I spilled salsa on it.

Tomorrow is finals for the summer. Dance with me!

Well, while it is being an extremely hot August, it's still just August in Phoenix, which has always been hot (they just got done telling us it was the hottest July ever on record).

We have had some humidity, but nothing over around 60%, so I know yours really IS a little worse. I hate humidity with a passion.

i just put on my ecology final that there were 3000 heat records broken this summer.

Humidity is the worst and yes it's so very humid. You can practically drink the air.

Last weekend it was pretty damned soupy here, but my supervisor's from Illinois and he claimed it wasn't humid to HIM, so I shudder to think what it's like back there (I've spent a weekend in Chicago in August...UGH).

I knew you would like Dark Matters. One of my current faves. The freak factor is an automatic love... but the stories they present are boggling. The recent episode where a physicist set of a nuclear reaction in the lab... and then stopped it... but he took a LOT of radiation from it. OMG. If the make up on that guy is what a real radiation victim looks like, I know where modern zombies come from!

Yep, I have to peel my pants off too. My clothes seem to stay dewy all day long. I don't sweat through them so much as they absorb all the humidty in the air. Just, very, very gross.

Yesterday we broke the heat record for the day: 116 degrees. All I did was bring in some groceries and my pants were welded to me. Believe me, I understand the "ick!" It's gross to have your sweat soak completely through your clothes.
