I, on the other hand, am not but more on that later. So far it's a steady but not very hard rain and the winds are much less severe at 20 mph. It's not really any different from any autumn rain, cold and miserable. It's supposed to freeze and then snow (but they've been predicting this snow for a while and no signs of it yet). Then rain. If the predictions are right (and I wouldn't hold my breath) it'll be raining a straight week. The problem is we have a lot of little creeks. They're already flooding. It'll be in my kitchen again if it keeps up.

I was pretty happy with getting off lightly. I had a nice long read in the tub, Soul had been playing all day. As I got out of the tub, I wrung out my face towel. I do it every night. Tonight something tears in the scar tissue of my bad thumb. Hurts like holy hell. It's swollen, the joint is dislocated and I can't make it stay in place without the brace and the nerves keep firing. Well this blows.

I go out and it gets worse. I forgot to pick up the enzymatic cleaner where SOul pissed last time so he found a completely new place to piss right by the couch. I about lost it (yes, I still haven't found a place for him that isn't an automatic death sentence. This place blows).

Then I come in to the computer and my flash drive isn't reading. I panic. ALL my lectures are on here. Well after losing two flashes already this year and the corruption issues I've been having I DO have back ups but not of all the work I did today. I luckily find my older flash and put it in but it too isn't reading. Here suddently my computer isn't calling it disk K but some other random letter it's never been before. The disk is fine.

So now I'm looking up computers. I know Alphonse is dying. Can anyone explain to me who/what the alienware computers are and why costco has them at twice the price of anything else?

Then I tried to put my tens unit on my bad shoulder and it's not working either. It was fine yesterday. It's acting like it has a loose wire. these things are expensive and I'm going to have to call about this. I'll try new electrodes but I think it's the unit.

But I have to say, compared to what my east coast friends are going through, this is nothing but an inconvienence. I hope everyone is safe. (though I kind of wish the thumb thing hadn't happened because that really hurt).

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

I've recently switched to a mac and I love it. It is a good chunk of money, but my husband has had a macbook pro for about five years now and we've had no hardware issues or problems with it at all. My son has an imac desktop and it's been fantastic for him. He can usually destroy a computer fairly quickly, but this one has been durable and resistent to any problems. It is a fair amount of money compared to Dell desktops, but I know you've had some issues with PC's in the past so it might be worth looking into.
