Balancing the good and the grouchy

On the side of the grouchy, Verizon didn't recieve my last payment. Now they email me EVERYTHING else including how much broadband I've used up but they didn't tell me that and just suspended the account. I called them and asked WHY didn't they email me. Oh, we texted you but you never responded. Me - this is a COMPUTER broadband NOT a phone. Verizon - oh yes we see that but it's still our policy to text. Me - so what's your policy on me kicking you to the curb and canceling you? Verizon - You'd have an early termination fee. Me- it's a two year contract that I started in 2009. what early termination fee? She refused to answer. In fact they refused to answer any question. I've said it before. I'll say it again. AVOID VERIZON

On the good, several of my upper level nursing students wrote me notes on my test saying how great I am and a few asked me if I would teach more classes for them (no sorry) they were so disappointed.

I have found out why schroedinger (the grey cat) has been limping. He has fang markes in his sacral area. They're healing well if nothing else. Also a puppy turned up on my porch, looks like a black and tan hound puppy probably 3-4 months. Kitty likes him. Turns out he's a neighbor's. Nothing like letting your puppy out with NO collar, no supervision no nothing.

and I finished chapter one of my FMA big bang. It's 2K long. CHAPTER ONE. (shut up enemytosleep) I haven't even introduced the plot yet.

gods, that poor pup and the poor kitty :( I hate when people don't take care of their animals!

We just got rid of our sprint plan and we're int he middle of getting with Virgin mobile. We're just barely scraping by every month and Sprint likes to tack on fees every time you upgrade (even if it's a free upgrade). They're all in it for the $$$ anyways.

That's great about the note from your students. I wrote a note to one of my teachers when I was in design school, telling him that even though he was the toughest professor I had and his projects were grueling, I appreciated his passion for teaching and the fact he didn't want us to just get through the class, that he wanted us to learn something and make a difference. to this day I can nearly recite all my notes in his classes, particularly the sections on paint and textiles.

2k for your first chapter? I have almost 6k, and a 2k-ish prologue, and 5 chapters beta-d.
Now I'm stuck and it's frustrating because this thing is going to be hella long. Missyquill and I have been planning it for over a year, didn't think I would get to use the idea for big bang really, but here it comes! I always enjoy your writing and can't wait to read it (and everyone elses!!)

Today the artist emailed me saying she really enjoyed my reverse Big Bang story and will be working on more art during this month. Replied back saying her email made me smile silly most of today, haha. Oh, looks like your Big Bang is going to have a few things happening. Looking forward to reading it!

and... how can there be a termination fee on a 2 yr term after 3 years?? If I were you, I'd go to the nearest store and inquire about your account (they are much friendlier and helpful at the stores and they DO handle computer and home phone service in the stores now that they've added those to their service packages)
