"Do you know what would be nice?" Spike kicked back in their new digs.

"A children's choir all for us?" Drusilla asked, sitting next to him on the couch after shoving the former owner's wife to the floor.

Spike thought about that for a moment, imagining the taste. He always was a veal man. "Yes, that would be nice, but I was thinking it would be nice to keep this house. Doesn't have a basement. Makes it impractical."

"Hmmm, next time we look for a basement light on," Dru mused, her voice thin. She had been so weak ever since Prague. "We would enjoy a house, my bright star."

"At least for a while."

Spike knew he'd get bored quickly staying in one place. Dru would get bored faster. Angelus might have been a giant git, but he did have a point about not letting grass grow under their feet. "You know what would be even nicer than a house or a choir of kids?"

Dru leaned her head on his shoulder. "Finding another slayer?"

Spike kissed her. "You read my mind, love."

Dru looked toward the ceiling. "I think we should head west then."
