cornerofmadnessI ran to get 3 weeks worth of mail, mostly because I wanted to check to see if my new insurance card made it (it did). Ran to Jackson, went to the library, volunteered to do a travelogue presentation on Wales in March, gave the new insurance to CVS (the person helping me looked like I was asking her to eat shit), cashed a christmas check and ran home.
Got the car completely unpacked and everything put away. Got the decorations down off the house, threw out the dead pumpkin after scooping seeds out of the rot, scrubbed down the porch.
Talked to landlord. THe guys closest to the parking lot moved. He wants me to take that apartment. No. But it'll have new paint and carpet. I know your carpet needs replacing (Tom, you have NO idea). Still no. Dude, for one I have too much shit to pack and move 2 doors down and secondly it's on the parking lot. I'd hear everyone all the time. No thanks. I'll keep my old piss-soaked carpet, thanks.
Found out that I have less money than I thought, paid bills, realized I didn't pay last m onths's student loan some how and the payment was way more than it should be. Got too tired for about 2 hours.
Emptied out the 2012 files to make room for the 2013 files (which is more work than it sounds like), called the loan and got it straightened out.
DISH called and said I didn't return the broken dish box and while I was gone some screen saver came up so I recorded 3 weeks worth of the dish logo bouncing around. Call them. the box is there. Lady argues with me that the screen saver can't be deactivated. I'll switch to Direct I tell her. 2 minutes later the screen saver is history.
Notice that Verizon thinks I went over my limit even though I was gone. Call them. They did remove that charge.
Call health insurance. Explain that my former insurance forced me to buy needles/test strips from some mail order company and what was their policy? I can go back to getting it at the pharmacy. Now must get all new scripts for that
Got a call/letter from my family practioner who works for King's Daughters a catholic hospital system and they sent out a vaguely threatening letter about me missing an apt. I didn't even HAVE one. I have no idea why they thought I should have been there on monday.
Did all three syllabi for tomorrow's pre-start of school stuff.
am now tired.
Also Kanda isn't happy to be back. There's no where to run around here. He's so bored.
I love BBT. I think it's funny. I thought tonight's episode was very funny (the scene in the diner aside). BUT....for the love of God writers, women buy comic books. Seriously. It was funny the first time but it's not any more. We buy comics. We go to cons. In fact cons are about 50/50 now. You starting to irritate me
