My grandmother's house
Feb. 20th, 2013 10:14 pmEither it loves what my parents are doing to it or (more likely hates it) but I can tell mom when she was down there working because I have dreams about the house every fricking time. Today she tells me (after another haunted, evil grandma's basement dream) that they painted the upstairs bedroom white and it looked smaller instead of larger. YES! Because the house is SCOWLING. Also the carpet in that room hasn't been replaced since the 40's. It's still in good shape. WTF was it made out of?

rahirah on Buffy fandom on AO3 and other than thinking, wow still has some pairing that will never quite make sense to me, I also thought, it's been a long time since I've been really active in the fandom. I went and looked. I transitioned from Buffyverse to Fullmetal Alchemist in 05. Wow. That means for the last 8 years I've been doing FMA and a little of this and that but there is something I still admire about Buffy fandom. It's still out there and still going with some semblance of strength. My first Buffy story was in 01 and I still do the occasional thing.
You don't really see that in anime/manga fandom. People change their fandoms like some of us change socks. I'm not really sure what the difference is. All my animes will die a quiet death while Buffy and Star Trek will soldier on. Hmmm
I'm rather tired since I didn't sleep. every time I fell asleep my wheezing and the icky sounds of mucus sloshing in the lungs woke me up. Finally I gave up and slept half upright. The wheezing died down but my back and shoulder hurt so much. My students are hoping I have the plague. They want to see what happens.
I'm working on my library speech so skipping the declutter
