I don't talk all that much about where I grew up (mostly because it was so long ago) but I have a few fun stories tonight (better than me whining about lectures).

From last night's phone conversation

Mom - You're getting decorative with the bird seed (to Dad who had laid out a pattern as the Pi symbol)

Dad- Yes, I wanted to give them a slice of Pi

Then Dad gets on the horn and proceeds to tell me about the yearling buck and his twin sister (they were born on our property which is @ 40 acres) they were under the bird feeder, sniffing it when the cardinals took exception and dive bombed them. They fell over each other trying to get away. Later the whole family came to rob the feeder and once again got dive bombed. Cardinals -2, deer- 0

And my home town is in the news for Buffalo! Actually this farm is less than 3 miles from our house and we pass it all the time. (this is not the guy whose donkey keeps getting free)

Cross your fingers that My Vegas facebook game's perks don't change too much between now and me going. I've earned enough points to get stuff. I don't care about the free rooms (which are the most points) I don't need to stay in the Bellagio. I DO want to go DO things. Right now I can have sake in the Bellagio. Or have High Tea. or the thing I want to do SO BAD. Go to Minus -5, the ice bar. I WILL be at that bar.

Lucky Uncle is at it again. This time he didn't win thousands. No he wanders into the casino just in time to see a bus boarding for Bon Jovi's concert in Pittsburgh. He asks if there is any more tickets. No there isn't. One lady turns to him and says I don't even want to go. I won these and hands him the tickets. To Bon Jovi.....GAHHHH

And in case there is any question, THIS is where I was raised and where I live now. I rather like it this way.
