The silly rolls on

The other day I put up a picture on FB with a lady in Renn gear with the old saw 'don't dress for the job you have, dress for the job you want' and it said something to the effect of so I showed up for a meeting dressed as a pirate. My department chair said 'I can see you doing that. Wait you've worn your renn gear to school' So I have, Halloween. I replied, "don't tempt me. I'll show up for the School of Science meeting in Star Trek Science Blue.' The chair said 'I dare you.' Today I rolled in in my Star Trek science shirt, black pants and black books. Only one student got it (and showed me her brother's new tatt from Day of the Dove) but the various faculty loved it.

Today my sugar was out of control high (explaining why I was so tired at work) to the point my vision is dim, my brain dimmer and I collapsed into a wall while talking to Mom. I've taken a buttload of insulin for all the good it's doing me. I hate diabetes.

I called the internet company again. The woman I talked to on Monday was pretty horrified that I had NOT been called (especially since the guy said he had). She promised to send this up to the VP and by the time I got home, I had an apt to get new internet. She explained how their tech serve works (sketchily) but they're half the price of Verizon for unlimited use. It's worth the gamble.

Declutter Day 38 item tossed -Mystery book why kept -Wanted to read why tossed -Read it This one was so stinky it went to the take a book/leave a book cart at the hospital. No one I knew deserved it and since it was a library book, Halfprice book store won't buy it.

Speaking of diabetes, sis KP is going to pain management before they remove the toe (it's bad again), and has to get her diabetes under control, and will be going on a diet and stuff.

Mom's rubbing her hands together gleefully.
