A comedy of errors

cornerofmadnessBut no one was laughing. I went to bed last night knowing it was meant to snow tons. I got up, sad to see only a wee bit of snow with a ton of slush from all the rain under it. It's 720 AM I check to see if I've been emailed about a closure. Nope.
I put on a shirt but it had been inside out when I laid it out last night. When I flipped it it looks like it's covered with a layer of felt (sometimes those industrial washers seem to regurgitate on you). Had to go get new clothes. I had started the car to clean the windshield and had gone out to salt the walk (barefoot, just to confuse people. The snow doesn't bother me). Well it's SO heavy/wet it doesn't melt off. I have to scrub it.
The idiots scraped the snow off the road so it was a sheet of ice uphill but I made it. I get to work only to find out that 10 minutes after I checked they canceled the first 2 hours of school. FUCK! JM comes in and asks where is everyone (He's from an hour away) I said they canceled it. JM is very laid back but even he lost it. 730 is too LATE to tell us when there are 830 classes. Turns out they texted people at 630 but no one can explain why the email was a hour later and why many of us got NO notice.
I also discovered I was in such a rush I had left without my purse. No license. No office keys. No meds. And when I broke three nails in less than 2 hours, no nail file.
I get thru lab then have students waiting for me to see how they can help their grade. They've done NO homework. Missed 5 out of 7 labs (a self professed bad choice) and I'm like you're not going to like any of my suggestions.
I go to the classroom. They've polished the floor. Whatever it was was SO toxic it causes a laryngeal spasm (I'm allergic to strong cleaners) and I had to be pulled back out by L. went to my lab to teach (the prof who follows me is not allergic to strong cleaners and even he couldn't do more than a minute in there. How did this person CLEAN with this stuff?)
I'm learning my new stomach pill isn't strong enough. More random crap happened. then we had a faculty association meeting which wasn't contentious but since last month's was canceled there was SO MUCH to talk about. Took nearly 2 hours. whimpers.
Come home. Sit with Kanda who is VERY cuddly tonight. He's stretched out all over me as I relax to TBBT and suddenly he digs all four sets of claws into my leg and bites me. he doesn't run. He just sits there biting and biting then got MAD because I put him on the floor. Asshole jerk cat.
I went to take my new anti-vomiting pill but I looked it up because I look up ALL pills before taking. This is a drug to keep cancer patients from vomiting. I'm NOT taking it. i'm afraid to. It's a Serotonin receptor antagonist. I'm allergic to SSRI's which okay work in the opposite manner but I'm afraid this will not go well. I'm a wee bit too far from the ER if I have an allergic reaction.

I warned my boss that I Do Not Do Cleaning Products well. Even the stuff we use to clean the bathrooms ourselves, which is on the shelf for anyone to purchase, makes me cough and lose my breath. Yay. I know just how you feel about your room.
