I've been quiet

I've been taking care of things around the house for mom who is still pretty knocked down with the pneumonia and sitting back waiting to see how much of an ass Dad will be at any given moment. So it's been boring.

I've been trying to write 100 words a day on all my stories. I need to get it moving. I've been falling down a lot in this realm.

I did take mom out today shopping a little. Half of it was to get stuff to rennovate grandma's house (which is the biggest reason for the assholery). If nothing else I got a new shredder and a shower liner. Fascinating I know.

I'm still hoping to get more writing down and working on my damn presentation of my research. Still hoping to find a second first reader.

At least gsd_rtfn is helping me with the writing. I really do need that accountability.

I found out one of my friends from high school lives just up the road from my parents now. we're going to get together this summer (hey a fellow fanfic author! I think she does HP fandom)

Maybe you need a break from writing. I may not write epics, but I go through periods where I must write or else & then suddenly, I get "lazy" and spend my time reading.

yeah I've had pneumonia enough times that they gave me the pneumovax this year.

I sometimes do need a break but not like this. This is me wasting time on the internet, plain and simple and lacking concrete goals.

Aaah... I'm lucky I've only had it once, but then again, I'm asthmatic & it's not something I'd like to revisit. ^^;

yeah I kind of find it hard to 'get it up' to post when life is dull. I mean how many "well I worked and then watched hockey" posts can you make?

Oh jeez, I didn't know your mom got pneumonia, too! I have NEVER heard of as many cases of pneumonia in one flu season as I have this year - and I hadn't had it myself since I was 23, so that was 33 years ago(I had it the year my daughter was born, when I was really run down and sick - 5 breast infections, etc.) There's been teenagers getting pneumonia after the flu or colds and dying from it around here! This is just amazing (in a bad way.) And I've never had a bug so damned hard to shake - or at least not since I had mono (that took forever.) Of course the fact that the dentist told me the other day that I still have three active abscesses may be contributing, too.

Hope your mom continues to improve - you take care of yourself, too! As I remember you haven't been feeling all that wonderful, either, especially to have to take on someone else's care on top of your own considerable responsibilities. Be careful, you and Mom both, and don't overdo! (I know it's probably silly, for me to be lecturing a doctor on such things, but I'm a mom myself, I can't help it! ^__^ )

Yeah I'm SO glad I got the pneumovax this year. She's doing better but gets tired very easily.
