Mostly other things to be honest. I'm so brain dead that I can't form a cogent writing blog post this week but I DID want to thank the people on my original fiction filter. Your input is so very helpful. At some point, all writers must get their work to the eyes of a first reader. For some of us (not me) that won't come until the story has been completely written and rewritten a couple of times. For others (me) it's as soon as it flies from the pen into the read world outside their head.

Writers groups, beta readers, something is needed to help find the holes you're blind to. I'm lucky to have you guys so thank you.

And since it's been a long time here are the current counts

Camp Nano -
26470 / 25000
(105.88%)

and the yearly count
37579 / 125000
(30.06%)

The rest of the day was pretty much wasted thanks to high sugar. I did get fridge cleaned and managed to not notice the garbage bag was open as I wheeled it to the dumpster. That was a fun mess to clean.

I'm quickly learning that I'm RUSTY at research papers. I haven't written one since the vampire one I did in class and that was easy. This one is killing me.

And here are just some really amazing links.

Okay not amazing but you might want to know what I'm doing for The Day of Silence and pride week on campus

Thanks to Wil Wheaton - how Disney animates using live actors

inspirational and yet heartbreaking photography and do check out the rest of his work. He seems to do a lot with people with disabilities. I'm entranced by the gay couple with the wheelchair. [livejournal.com profile] havocmangawip I think you'd really be fascinated by some of this.

And maybe this. I'm adding this to my lecture. guess what this is

music to write to. Fun! Thanks to ES for this one.

And thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ishte for this. I know how bad my picture would have looked like had I described it. This gives you something to think about.

Awesome count for camp nano!

I love it when that happens! I hope that soon I will have one that flows out like that and if things go the way they normaly do I should have one soon.

I have to say that I'm not a fan of my OH trip. People are mean to me there, they say I am to East Coast and to Northern.

good luck to you

Ohio is rude. I've lived here 3 different times. I've never liked it and now i'm stuck

thank you. For now I will have to revel in your production (maybe it will rub off on me, like the luck of a chimny sweep)

It's funny, the Ohio show is the only one where I see people with drinks (both mixed and beer) by ten a.m.

In a few weeks I have to drive back - well not to Ohio, I'll be stopping in Pitt but still.

I've always wanted to ask where you teach.

Thank you I needed that.

Is that in the town of Rio Grande? My horse was born in Rio Grande OH - she was from the Bob Evans herd.

That is pritty cool. He used to give a horse to one 4-H from each state that sold his sausage. I won my Sausage (not her registered name) in 1983 and had her until 2010. She was the horse that broke my back.

I didn't know he did that and the rest of that is just tragic

well he did in the 80's I have no idea if he still does.

The damage to my back wasn't as bad as it could have been, chronic pain and numbness aren't that bad over all. I have some f-ed up musclature in my left leg.

Sausage was my war pony I guess - I will probably always miss her.

Well his family would have to be since he's gone but I know what you mean.

still bad enough. She sounds like an interesting pony though

Yeah. It was a fun weekend though. We went on an over night trailride, rounded up the horses and brought them in then we spent some time with him. He seemed like a very nice guy, but he was old already.

She was an interesting horse to say the least. Brave and mean but with a big heart.

The funny thing is I find I can mostly put the pain out of my mind - well now I can. I had years of mental training to do it.
