Mini-celebration

I went over to Macy's because I decided my 'nice' shorts weren't so nice and were more than a little old. Macy's had the ugliest collection of clothes I've seen in a long time. I loathe capri pants. I love the fashion guru's saying capri pants are a no-no, bermudas are a no-no. What the hell am I supposed to wear? The jean shorts cut off so high the pockets are flapping out there? Looks stupid. Anyhow I found three pair that were nice. One turned out to be insanely over priced. One was below the knee but higher than capris and looked ever stupider and one worked. It was powder blue. I put it back to think on it. Went to find sandals. The only one I really liked were 165$, um no. Went back and spotted a nice blue pair I hadn't seen before.

So why the mini-celebration? I found out that I'm down an entire pants size. YAY. Also Macy's is having a 'got your six' drive which donates money to veterans/military families.

When I got home, I noticed the alarm was on but the basement doors (not alarmed) were not closed. Poor Kanda had set the alarm off. Dad forgot he was here...geez.


ETA. I stumbled over Damh the Bard's version of Hal an Tow and remembered how much I liked it so went looking for my favorite version and lo and behold...

Yay for finding...something?

My sisters insist on buying me capris. I don't like capris. They irritate me. I now have like four or five pairs. One pair is even jeans. I'll wear those, they're jeans. Kinda. But the others. Sheesh.

If you ever get to come visit in Louisville, come see me at Lane Bryant. We have cute clothes for much cheaper than that and we have stuff that is very flattering for larger women.

thanks. I honestly have never kept a Lane Bryant item very long. I have the worst luck. My leather belt was from them (and I DO need to go get another one)and it fell apart two weeks ago but at least it lasted a couple years. I usually get stuff from Macy's or Roaman's. I do well with their shirts though. Can't wear their shoes. I take a double AA width. You'll usually see me flopping around in B's because you can't find A's.

I don't think Lane Bryant's shirts last very long, but I haven't fund any jeans that fit more perfect or last as long. Bras from there are incredible too. I have never been to Macy's because I'm afraid of sticker shock, but I've had stuff from Roaman's. WOW AA width? That's super narrow, right? and I wear a WW XD

Whatever's causing the weight loss, I hope it keeps on keepin' on! (and maybe it'll come visit me too)

It's pants I have issues with and under things like the bras and panties but to be fair, I had such bad experiences in the 90's with them that I haven't been back for those things. I did get jeans once from them but they went out of business around here. I think we have some in columbus. I hate to clothes shop so you know, I'm not really sure if there is one or not. If you buy stuff at macy's once it's on the sale's rack, 90% is under 25$ and item. The shorts were. The jeans shorts I put back were 55$ and a little bit too short and yeah, 55$.

yeah super narrow. I was even more narrow when I was younger. I have skinny little flipper feet. Okay NOT little. I take between a 9-10 depending on the shoe (now there's something I can't buy online).

I think it's the heat. I can't eat when it's hot

I have to admit that I appreciate capri pants because my legs are super short and nearly all pants that fit me in the waist are a good 5 inches too long ... which means that capri pants look basically like normal pants on me, and it makes it easier to find something that fit.

Yay for finding something good, though, and for coming down a size!

Oh I usually get things at the 50% off rack there and it's cheaper than my local Wal-Mart when I do that. I rarely pay more than 20$ for anything there.

But yeah, down a size is good with my medical issues
