So the storm

fizzled here, nothing more than your usual storm. However, it must have damaged a line somewhere since we had no water all morning. I hope everyone else was a lucky as we were.

The weather people were wrong about the heat wave following the storm. It's cool. I love it. Seriously it could stay 60 all summer and I would be one happy woman.

Finally we all went to see Star Trek: Into the Darkness. Poor Dad was hanging back since Mom was wearing her communicator pin and I had on my science blue insignia shirt. And the clerk still asked 'what movie do you want to see?' With some reservations that I'll save for my review,I really enjoyed it. And mostly sort of want to be the filling in a Spock/Khan sandwich.

And then somehow the whole day was done. It's amazing. It's like they're evaporating. Vacation is always this way.

Yeah, there were problems with the movie, but I loved it. Lots of action and pretty, pretty men. I am more than happy with it. :-)

We didn't have much of a problem here either, although the thunder and lightning woke me up at around 1:30am (about an hour after I finally got to sleep). Some flooding from the creeks, and one traffic light out on my drive to work, but other than that and a downed tree or two, not much damage.

"Some reservations," yes, that's a good way of putting it. But on the whole, I ADORED it -- it was just so much fun (and they really did cast it awfully well).

I'm kinda with Barb on Zachary Quinto, though -- he looks like Spock, he acts like Spock, he's GREAT... but he just doesn't SOUND like Spock! :)
