And the latest in the Universe's attempts to punish me for returning to OH

I had to be at work hours before class for orientation. I woke up at 5 Am then went back to sleep and sometimes between then at 8 when I wanted to get up, the power went out just long enough to blitzkrieg my alarm clock. I got up with less than 20 minutes to get there. I managed it, only 10 minutes late.

My friend, L., was there with photos from her trip to Italy. I'm jealous. They were lovely.

I went to my writers' group tonight in Athens. We didn't get much done since it's been 6 weeks since I've been there and all we did was talk and talking. Still, it was nice. I missed those ladies.

That's one reason I bought a battery for my alarm clock last week. The power was knocked out and I didn't think I would hear my cell phone alarm through my earplugs in the morning. We've had rain for the last couple of nights and the weather is actually cool in the morning with a bit of a breeze. It's lovely. I hope the days of 110+ degrees are over for the summer.

I had a back up battery but I guess when the power went out whenI was away from home in those 6 weeks, it killed the battery. Oh well. Hope your heat stays away
