Head not in the game

cornerofmadnessThat describes my whole day. I blame mom. snort. She called just as I was getting ready to go grocery shopping and for the first time in forever I didn't open my diabetic shake the moment I got in the car. If I had I would have realized I left the books for the library AND my precious coupons Sigh.
I accomplished very little today. In fact I have no idea where it went. At least I got my test ready and am fixing up a lecture I forgot about. Almost done.
And since the weather was perfect (read around 70 and NOT raining) I went out to weed. The first time I tried out my new silicon palmed weeding gloves (SO much nicer than mere cloth ones) and I had on sneakers. That's when I realized that the problem was that FINALLY the St John's wort has taken off and put up clones of itself EVERYWHERE. If I didn't have other plants like lilies and roses in there I'd let it go but I do. But I don't go back out for hours (I had to go sit down and stop itching first and cut coupons). When I got back out there, I had on flip flops...naturally because this is the time I'm out there with my snipers and my toes are buried in thick St John's Wort, grass and weeds. Damn near almost cut off a toes. Yikes. Idiot.
Did clean up some stuff yesterday. I found a pet thing that is helping with the odor some. I moved furniture. Kanda was NOT impressed. I'm trying to get it ready for mom to come down. It's just not happening. Also not happening is anything new in the housing front. it's so damn depressing.
But check this out. free classes at MIT. Seriously, you can play around and learn something new...like Chinese.
And this lady makes beautiful dragons. check out her work So want one but...yeah the price is more than I can justify.
