Suck up the drive, was her exact words. Did you SEE how many garages it has? Yes Mom did you see the noose (possibly a half done lighting fixtures wiring). It's adorable. Yes mom it is. I'd have room for all my shit. You could buy MORE shit. oh right. you have no money. You got it mom.
I was supposed to be cleaning today but I didn't sleep all night so I didn't get as much done as I wanted. I DID get some of the edits done to my novella. I did something moronic. I highlighted the 'long' version before I sent it in then when I went to remove stuff I unhighlighted it and accidentally saved that. So I had to pick over 32 pages trying to find the stuff I cut for length. I'm still missing @ 500 words but screw it. I have enough. Now to use
wildrider's edit (THANK YOU)
I technically need only 1000 more words to make 'novella' but as a mystery I feel it needs more of a build. I'm trying to figure out where (if anyone wants to look over a steampunk novella let me know)
I kicked off an interesting conversation on FB. I said something to the effect of 'I'm trying to think of what music would sound like in the far future (with alien influences)' and asked for ideas and just plain old music suggestions since I love music and am glad to have it (caveat, I like alt, rock, country, jazz, classical, pagan and more but am NOT fond of screaming metal (the metal where you can understand the singer is fine. I love that), rap and gospel.
My friend MKF sent this over on FB and I've been listening to it and this group all damn day. I love this song. I love the idea of doing the titular activity. They are well not quite Americana, more folk (my blue grass friends might like a couple of their more grassy songs)
speaking of Americana, try this. Some people only know him as Lindsey or Eliot might not know he sings as well and I really like him.
And I have a free vampire flash fic for you all. It was written for a challenge. Hope you enjoy.

And for no reason at all, a Loki fan vid mostly because when I was in Buffy fandom fan vids were everywhere and while they're still out there my fandoms don't seem to share them (I'm not actually into Loki fandom, I found this somehow last night). It does seem to fit poor Loki
declutter day 108 Item tossed -2 cat people figurines why kept - Someone thought I’d like them why tossed - I kept them not to hurt feelings but after 13 years in a basement, it’s time to go

Date: 2013-08-14 02:53 am (UTC)I do like the Dance in the Graveyard song! Thank you for sharing it. Alas, Christian's video would not play (it skipped! Like a scratched record. Weird). However, I remember his voice.

I have NO idea why youtube does that some times. it does it to me even with songs I played the night before

Date: 2013-08-14 04:24 am (UTC)I didn't care for Christian Kane's most recent album -- it's very... Nashville pop. Not nearly as good as his first two albums (less mainstream, more Americana), but I LOVE his cover of "Fast Car."
I'll have to watch all the vids tomorrow.

Date: 2013-08-14 03:07 pm (UTC)I don't remember the title -- it's the one "Whiskey in Mind" is on (his first album was just called "Kane," and then he released "Kane: Acoustic Live in London." Both are REALLY hard to find now.) Oh, the album's called "The House Rules." Like I said, really too mainstream for me. It's very Nashville Pop, not nearly as good as "Kane" was. I hardly ever listen to anything other than "Fast Car."
It's been out for a while, but I don't see any info on a follow-up album.

Date: 2013-08-14 03:43 pm (UTC)I'll look it up. I'd probably like it better than you. I'm not into the heavy country sound like you are (but on the other hand don't like anything as bland and insipid as anything put about by Taylor Swift)
I do have Kane on CD...somewhere in this place
