Midterms might kill me
Oct. 17th, 2013 10:59 pmOr turn me into a killer. I'm not sure which. a half dozen students today did not do the extra credit. Well boo hoo. WHY did you stop turning pages before you got to the end of an EXAM?!? One of them got really upset with me because I wouldn't let him do it after the fact. If he had come back while the test was still going on I would have but how do I know he didn't get the answers from other people. Yes, you say you didn't. I might even believe you but I would get accused of showing favoritism so you suffer your mistake.
My majors fared no better. Gah.
I went to Athens to the Halloween shop and was SO disappointed. Not in the costumes. No there's a shit-ton of those but so very little for decorating the house (or at least stuff that wasn't lame and I didn't already have). I saw a pair of demon horns that look just like the ones I imagined for my character Gideon. I should probably buy those.
For once I got writing done at the diner. Must have been the fullish moon. In fact I THINK I have all the scenes done for my novella. I need to reorder things a bit but maybe by next week I can get it back to my beta. Glad to be done with this steampunk thing. I needed it off my plate before nano and the novel edits roll in.
Kanda was SO upset I was gone all day, especially on top of being gone all weekend. He actually made his distressed 'don't put me in the cat carrier' cries when I came in then proceeded to destroy the house for a half hour.
How is it nearly Friday already? This week has FLOWN by.
This story kills me. So many people share the adopt a pet stuff but we so little of help the children (unless it's Christmas). If I were financially sound, I would want to adopt an older child because unless they're babies so few people want to adopt (personally I wouldn't want a baby). Look at the numbers in this story. I'm not sure if that's for the State of Florida (I hope not) or the whole country but either way it's staggering. Maybe if we put as much effort saving kids as we do pets, we'd have less abuse of the latter as well. Teen begs someone to adopt him

Date: 2013-10-19 05:59 pm (UTC)Boo your students. I wish you had students like me and my friend Ben in anatomy. Friendly competition, sharing notes/helping out, hard working, fist bumping... we are both pulling over 90% in the class for the points so far.
He's going to be going into PT, soweboth strive to lesrn over and above.
We help our ESL lab group too.
