Mostly just a post to update my word count for the first time in over a month and to say that the writers group that I belong to is looking for new people (just a couple). If interested in knowing more, PM me.

I did revamp my bio. Here it is: Jana Denardo's career choices and wanderlust take her all over the United States and beyond. Much of her travels make their way into her stories. Fantasy, science fiction, and mystery have been her favorite genres since she started reading, and they often flavor her works. In her secret identity, she works with the science of life and gives college students nightmares. When she’s not chained to her computer writing, she functions as stray cat magnet.

Jana is Queen of the Geeks (her students voted her in) and her home and office are shrines to any number of comic book and manga heroes along with SF shows and movies too numerous to count. There is no coincidence the love of all things geeky has made its way into many of her stories. To this day, she’s still disappointed she hasn’t found a wardrobe to another realm, a superhero to take her flying among the clouds or a roguish star ship captain to run off to the stars with her.

As for the other stuff, I'm in full on bitch mode. This happens every December. Partly it's the travel stuff. I do NOT know why in 2005 I suddenly developed a travel anxiety. I'm a traveler for pete's sake. And I want to clean the house and there's not enough time to do both. Mom is on my case about it. She wants me home and to clean. She doesn't understand how much I hurt. She should but I think because I'm relatively young it doesn't sink in that I'm in pain most of the time. I can't just clean and clean. Also this place has gotten ridiculous. Sigh.

My sugar is high too so tonight I'm violently bitchy. It's just as well I'm mostly sitting in my house being grumpy at a cat who doesn't care. I did have to tell mom see you later because we were going to get into a fight. I know why she wants me home. Dad is being the world's biggest baby about his arm (he still refuses to believe I have the same issue) and his hernia and he's making her miserable. He doesn't much want me home for the same reason she does. She'll go out with me. I'm not going to listen to his pity party. You're a grown man. Suck it up. You can survive the two hours we're out doing something. So I'm home to be a buffer. Fun. Not.

I just managed to elbow (very softly, but still) my cat in the face when we both tried to get comfortable on the bed, and she looked at me with an expression like "I can't believe you just did that!"
