Probably a good thing because as always too much time off with nothing to distract me = going down the rabbit hole. It didn't help that I STILL didn't seem to get all that much done today. I did get a few things cleaned but made just as big of a mess in other places so does that balance?

It doesn't help that mom does have macular degeneration. her eye doctor was right, there is fluid separating the layers of the retina. The GOOD news is, it was caught so very early, they think they can reverse it 100%.

The gifts are going into the mail tomorrow. Yes, it's late. I suck. I'm sorry. The cards all went out. If you wanted me to send you one and didn't sign up, just PM me your addy. I have more.

Ditto if you have a Christmas stocking you want me to write for or had a request. I got very few which in a way is good because I have two pro stories I have to finish, the two I was looking for betas for last night. But if you want something let me know.

Did you ever get the package I sent you, speaking of mailing gifts? You have such a dubious mail set-up for the apartments, I always worry when I send you stuff. On the plus side, if any of your neighbors ended up with your present by mistake, I doubt they'll keep it, and they'll probably bring it to you because they'll know exactly who it's intended for :P.

And I opened it thinking OOO tea. I was surprised by the very cool mug. Thank you very much. I love it. Yours is coming in 2 packages, well a package and a card. I was afraid something in the one package would demagnetize the main gift.

And I know what you mean. the apt at the other end of my building had 7 packages on his door and I did wonder if that was for everyone.

Glad you got something done. I feel much the same way, I got a chair cleaned off, now what to do with the crap that was ON the chair. Oops. It doesn't help that my wrapping paper is all over in that area, too.

I don't know where your emails went, but I never got them. I even went and looked in the trash after reading the above, and checked the old Yahoo account I don't use anymore, but I swear there's nothing. The Internet eats things, or maybe my firewalls do (but they shouldn't, almost everything else you send gets through). Anyway, I hope the flayed-corpse mug freaks people out. Leave it to the Brits to manufacture such a thing.

Oh, and while macular degeneration is never a good thing, at least your mom's was caught while still reversible. It would have been so much worse if she was diagnosed after permanent damage had been done. Is her macular degeneration "wet" or "dry"?
