How they warm the heart. This latest batch is from the Spike Threw the Heart Awards (they're looking for  nominations for round 10).

Fata Viam Invenient, a future fic where Origins  never happened and Connor and Gwen are partners and steal something from Angel that both the Watchers and Ethan Rayne also want, won the Fire award for best action (BtVS/AtS X-over, Adults only, graphic sex, has character death)     

And the rest were runner- up's awards

Sleep Now, a tale of Connor soon after arriving on Earth, contemplating his fathers, won RU for best short story   

Just a Devil With Love to Spare, a Post NFA story of loving revenge and reconciliation and just plain silliness in Las Vegas, BtVS/AtS Cross over, won RU for best fluff 

And lastly Here at Life's End, an AR taking place after Angel doesn't stop Connor from detonating the bombs, set in Galway City, won RU for best Angel fic  

They're quite the pretty, especially if you like DB's looks. (some of my Flist will be licking their screens). Well back to the frantic Mom-is Coming house cleaning

ETA - Just checked the award sites out to see how the competition did. And Sleep Now is listed as the winner of the short story category, not runner up. Hmmm, anyhow, either way I'm happy and I hope you like the story

Mom will be here from PA on thursday. I'll take me until then to clean. I quit about two hours ago and my nose is still running and my eyes half swollen shut (I'm allergic to both dust AND cleaning fluids)
