So I decide I need to exercise more
Jan. 14th, 2014 10:39 pmMy school emailed us offering a free class called 'essentrics' that's like yoga with a little bit of pilates. I wasn't smart enough to google that and find out that was a lie. Neither did anyone else. It was PACKED. There had to be 30-40 members of the faculty and staff (all female). The only part that was yoga was the mat (and my isn't textured, the piece of shit so I nearly slid to death). I'm not sure I will continue. She asked us to give her a month, this perky little thing with arm muscles that could wrestle the ears off a gundark. BUT it involves two things heavily. 1. shoulder movements that might not be the best bet with my problem 2. squat/plies/lunges that my arthritic knee caps are saying fuck you about.
I still think this is better than dieting. I thought about some of the new diet things but the hot new one 5:2 would be unwise for a diabetic, but the same unwise thing there happened with this exercise program. My sugar shot to over 400.
At least the motions are relatively slow and I DID do most of it. I feel like I was hit by a bus but I'm SO out of shape. If I'm not dead by tomorrow or if I haven't made my arm significantly worse, I might go back next week.
My sugar crashed down 200 points so I feel exhausted and whiney. And I didn't sleep. I woke up at 410 this morning (and found out so did both of my parents) and I COULD NOT go back to sleep. I lay there writing blog posts for my novel and thinking about leaving my job. Sigh.
Kanda is unhappy with being here. He misses the attention he had at home.
declutter day 183 item tossed- 2 inhalers why kept -I have asthma why tossed I rarely need my inhalers so expired

Date: 2014-01-15 05:07 am (UTC)5:2 doesn't demand a TOTAL fast on "fast" days--the doctors I've listened to discussing it talk about the various things that should and can be done for different people and different dietetic needs. You can certainly look deeper into it. I'm finding it very good for ME, but I don't have a blood sugar problem.

Date: 2014-01-15 05:25 am (UTC)Even taking a short walk every day is good too.
The important thing is just to get moving.

Date: 2014-01-15 05:24 pm (UTC)Diabetics need 4-6 small meals a day to maintain blood sugar and moving off a certain dietary intake can have profound blood sugar affects. I did look into it pretty heavily. It was actually rather discouraging. I'm glad it's working for you.
