I have many reasons to do the dance of joy and not this one:

No, because I find it utterly stupid to have dance in a world with no music, no my dance of joy looks more like this (after all I can dance a little)

So why am I doing the dance of joy? Oh, it could be because it snowed gobs and I'm very happy about that. (Less happy about the wind storm that sounded like someone walking in my living room at 4 AM).

No this happy dance is curtsey of seta_suzume and the fact she drew Aaron and Rhys from my upcoming release for me. How wonderful is that? Check it out here along with more of her adorable work. The Royai one is just so sweet too. Thank you so very much, Seta_suzume, you made my weekend.

Thanks also to those responding to my earlier post. That is very helpful. I hope at least some of you can be at my release party on facebook (not sure when that will be) or my take over of DSP's blog (I'll link it tomorrow) on monday. I am willing to trade a couple ebooks for reviews. If interested, let me know. While evil_little_dog's prodding I took a page out of sonjajade's book and started a 'good things' jar where you write down all the good of the year. I even had a jar just for that my friend gave me....only I don't (I suspect I got rid of it) so I emptied my Ashes of Past Lover's jar of all its coins while talking to Mom. I sifted thru the coins (having learned I can take them to the bank without my bank taking 15% off the top) and I found a token for house on the rock. Mom's like....DANA, when was the last time you were in the House? Me - um I left Madison in Dec 2000. So for FOURTEEN years you've been wandering around with this token? Have you never gone thru your change? I have...I think. I'm keeping it for prosperity. I'll put it in my jewelry box now. Yeah, seriously there probably isn't a coin in there later than 2000. Oopps. Okay you already knew I'm a hoarder. Now I'm a hoarder with a good things jar.



Remember that bridge? Well here's the road going up it. Notice the curve in the road because nothing says fun like curves over a rickety bridge and up a frigging kill straight into a major highway.


Don't like your chances? Go the other way then. Good luck. It turns to dirt at the top.

But that's the second bridge I go over. Here's the first (My apt has a moat) complete with abandoned drug house that I see out my kitchen and bed room windows.

hee. I do love ballet so much.

I remember my ballet workout tape from the early 90s...you know back when i was thin and all that crap. I try to plie now and the arthritis gets mad (I know this because that new exercise class is making me do it)

Yikes indeed with plie. I am thankful my lower body still likes me, other than my right knee... and I just "listen" to it, mostly, at least so I don't topple over.

I love barre work. Utterly. I can hardly wait until I have SOME sort of healthcare again. I WILL be back on the ice. *Dying here!*

I did an exercise class in the late 90s that DID do quite a bit of barre... plie, tendu, releve, and some masochistic leg kicks... good luck!

I've broken both knee caps and the x-rays now look like a freaking cheese grater behind them. It's terrible. Especially since that's the part you keep in knee replacements (the joint is fine in spite of ripping the meniscus three times), broken both ankles too.

I'm not sure I can get my hamhock up that high for barre work any more but it was fun. Here's to you getting health care soon. How much longer do you have to go?

Somewhere I have a couple of $1 slot tokens from Treasure Island, before all the major hotels went to the electronic ticket slots. They had a skull & crossbones, that's why I kept them. :)

I don't know if I have them with my coins or not. (That would have been 2003 or 2004, around the time I realized that's where Sean Patrick liked to go.)
