Well when I was chatting to the RPG'ers last night, I said it was getting cold in here. Then a certain something showed himself and I didn't think more on it. Then after the chat, I got ready to bed thinking, no it really IS cold in here. I felt the registers, ice cold. Then I thought about it. I haven't heard any of those funny noises I'm used to in a while BUT I could hear the furnace humming. I turned the furnace up and nothing, no compressor noises for the steam pipes. Damn. I sat down on the bed and thought, 'let me listen to this and see if I can sort it out.' 7 hours later when I woke up (figures, teh one time I don't have trouble sleeping) I realize, the furnace is well and truly dead. It's forty in the house and falling.
And in spite of it being in the mid forties outside yesterday, it's now snowed about 3 inches and is scheduled to murder us with about a foot. It's now only 19 out there with 35 m.p.h. winds. Oh shit. SOOO if you don't hear from me tonight, know that I stayed at the hotel in town.
