A meeting that didn't suck

The Welsh advisory board met and oddly she went with regrets only rsvp which is not good anymore because people are douches. We had twice the food as we needed so she let us take it home. SO not only did i have a huge sandwich/potato salad/chips/cookies for lunch with additional lemon blueberry cheesecake, i had a monster-sized cob salad for dinner. YUM.

But what it made it good was that we came up with a lot of exciting things for the Madog Center including strengthening our ties with the University of Aberystwyth We want them to send us students and vice versa. We're also looking at short cycle faculty exchanges. I couldn't teach at the other college we're partners with (no science) but this I could. I would love to go there and teach for a semester.

I want to see this movie but I suspect it won't come here and it's probably better off netflixing anyhow

I had more to say but instead I better get back to writing (I.e. i can't remember what I wanted to say).

Oddly enough, the commercials for that movie showed here - around Yule? I know it was some time ago - and I was like, "What? What? Is this a remake of Cat People?" ...yeah, I went there.

Yeah I thought that's when I saw them too, no it wasn't a commericial it was a trailer at The Hobbit. I thought 'they remade Lestat?'

I didn't see The Hobbit in the theater, and I usually jump past any trailers for the DVDs I get from the library. I don't remember what channel it was on (Syfy, maybe?). It just startled me.

You'd ask your doctor to prescribe, I guess? I don't know. That is a very good question.

And who pays. I could get a three month prescription filled but that would be about 1 month shy of what I need.

Mom and I were talking about that today. I'd think there should be a way to have your doctor transer a script to another country.

Birthday is so far so good! Saw THE LEGO MOVIE (already saw it, but the hubby was interested so... Good the second time, too), and Fuddrucker's for dinner. My stomach/gall bladder are behaving at the moment, so win-win!!

Oh, man, you have my sympathy. Last night I had two attacks in a row. I was SO sore when I woke up this morning!

ouch. Mine is less pain and more blinding nausea, probably because I have gastric paresis too (a very slow moving digestive track) I was still awaking up at 4 am over fried food I had 12 hours earlier.

Oh, rough! Kenneth has gastric paresis, too, so I'm familiar with how rough that can be. Fortunately, he has no gall bladder issues. They're finally talking seriously about taking mine out -- 'bout time. I've been dealing with this pain for almost a year.

It sucks. It's impacting my ability to eat fibrous stuff like apples and salad (I like those things).

Part of my problem is that I never know what's going to set it off. My reactions are all over the map. Plus, I have a stomach condition that is always plaguing me that they haven't been able to diagnose. I'm hoping it's connected to the gall bladder, and that after that's gone my stomach will go back to normal.

It really cuts into my ability to work, since it's hard to stay upright or concentrate when I'm having an attack.

Yeah I hear you. I've been on acid blockers since middle school because I have a malfunctioning gastroesophageal valve so plenty of pain and risk there.

That is unusual since bile is only needed for fatty foods, that's about all that should trigger it. Hope they find out something for you.

And yeah last night I couldn't type at all and I have a deadline of just a few days from now.
