Finals are over. All i have to do is go in on Monday to put in the grades (and drop down to see my endocrinologist) and our last meeting (gag, shoot me) on Tuesday and I'm done until SEPTEMBER! OMG I've never had so much time off. I'm already bored.

Also dancing because 0_mother_0 sent me free comic books. Lots of them. Yay.


Also doing a dance because I got the beautiful ad pack for If Two of Them Are Dead. Sadly the way it's laid out, if I use it for my facebook banner, Abraham's head is mostly gone and it's disconcerting to me so I didn't use it. I HAVE sold a dozen of them on pre-order. I'm shocked and happy. I think tonight or tomorrow is the last days of the sale for me (and there are still signed copies of the paperback on sale!!).

My Bolognese was a hit. WHEE.

Okay I caved. Mom kept telling me to put on the A/C because I sounded so sick but the clincher was when i got up off the couch and it looked like I was still lying there because of the sweat outline. A/C in MAY. Shoot me. It was way too hot to sleep at all last night. Fun time working on 3 hours sleep.

And it's supposed to rain all weekend for graduation. Sigh.

Also, 8:30 AM finals should be outlawed, just saying.

Oh and little_details was a help today. I was redoing that first chapter, putting it back to the way it was and adding in suggestions. As I was doing that I thought 'hmm is this REALLY a lockdown situation?' For all they know Marcus died of an overdose. Some people in the writers group had been upset it wasn't a lockdown and at the time i didn't have much teaching experience (and still none at a h.s. level) and I have no kids so I switched it. At least a dozen people responded both students and teachers and they all agree this would not be a lock down so I'll be switching that back to what it was. Sigh.

Congratulations on the pre-sale! That's great. And all the other good stuff, too! Yay for food going over well, and for being done (almost) with school.

I had to turn on the A.C. last night in the bedroom. It was so hot up there. It's cooler today. And it's supposed to rain here all weekend, too, and we've got an estate sale (or two) to go to.

Yeah, it's hotter than all hell, even if it did have a "a major cooldown" this week. It's supposed to tilt up toward 110 next week -- as you say, IN MAY. We're not supposed to get temps like that until late June. (Of course, that plays into my theory that the climate is now a full month ahead of where it used to be.)

5'5" here. My best friend in high school was 5'11" (probably over 6', but she'd never admit to that). We were quite the team. :)

Now that mom's pushing 80, I'm finally as tall as her. I was always the shortest one in the family, except for Grandma and Aunt Grace (I always assumed I took after my father's maternal line -- they were all tiny).

My aunt is 5'1' and my mom's brother (her husband) is 6'6" Talk about a pair.

Snort, I hadn't thought about that but yes. I do remember you saying Della was short and I knew Sean Patrick was tall and lean (in his youth, Lucky Uncle would probably have shared coloration too)

Della's just under 5' even and Sean Patrick is 6'4" (6'6" in cowboy boots), and yes, still lean and youthful. :)
