But before that, I have great news. It’s my release day And it also happens to be the 34 anniversary of one of my inspirations, Empire Strikes Back (happy anniversary). So click the link and come join in the fun with me. (Still willing to trade pdfs for reviews if interested). Now back to Kanda.

Everything bad in the world happened to him all at once. One minute he's eating 8$/lb turkey lunch meat and the next he's in his box. He howled like death was in there with him until that didn't garner any pity from his heartless mother. He started it again when I went to the school with him.

Kanda's drama llama

Because I had to meet with a student who asked me to advise him and when I pointed out classes were over and this should have been done TWO months ago, he got MAD at me for daring to tell him this and that it was my job to come there and advise him. So I told him to be there today. He wasn't. Kanda got to explore some of the school though (I couldn't find his leash. It was not where I was dead certain it was.)


Then he got to go to the vet for his shots. She's also bought out a local tractor repair place and it's now a huge boarding kennel with fantastic kennel spaces so bonus. I also have her agreeing to shadow our students. She's not concerned with his dry skin like I was. Or his weight (welcome to twenty pounds, fat-ass. You match me now).

And then it's lightning, just to ruin his evening. Kanda will be the one to survive the tornado. Bad weather? He goes right into the windowless hall and goes to sleep. I'm the idiot going 'wonder if I can take a shower with all the lightning?'

Nope not coming out of the cube.

As for me I had to get up at o'dark thirty to get my blood drawn and still had it drawn late because this clinic is the model of crappiness. They did remember me from last week and the one refused to try. The other used the butterfly like I asked for last time and still managed to give me a hematoma.

I think I found a house I could love…barring the electrical issues as in it hardly has any outlets

Also I got a lot of the living room cleaned up. It's looking better and I'm finding more crap to toss like a bunch of VHS tapes I have DVD replacements for.

I need manga to read. Any suggestions?

Looks like a gorgeous house. I loved the built in escape ladder and the storm cellar. It really looks like most of what it needs is cosmetic. If you don't feel you have enough outlets, they are not that difficult to install, so that's not a big expense. You can also ask your electrician for an estimate to install the number you desire in whichever rooms, and then include that work as a part of your bid conditions, or request that the seller pay for that work. My house, the upstairs bedrooms each only have one outlet, and the lights are wall sconces with no wall switches, so we've got some power strips going on! I have a strip screwed to the back of my headboard to plug in all my electronics and my beside lamp, and that is connected to another power strip under the bed that is plugged into the wall. We're working on getting the landlord to install one additional outlet in each bedroom in more convenient places. It's not so much the single outlet that is an issue for us, as it is the location of each of those outlets being extremely inconvenient.

Dad's an electrical engineer. We just did grandma's house. it was rather expensive actually because much of the old had to be removed. it's no longer up to code. I'm betting this isn't either.

However I totally missed the escape ladder until you pointed that out. I have very mixed feelings about that (and the storm cellar for that matter, even though both could be handy).

Here's wishing you good luck and great sales on your book launch. It sounds like it has some buzz already, and I'll assume DSP has its marketing dept. busy promoting it.

I like the house, even with the creepy-ass cellar. This is your chance to have that walk-in library you always wanted, and attached to your bedroom, yet. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see an escape ladder on the side of the house, I just saw a welcome mat for a mad-dog killer to climb in and rape/murder everyone inside. Maybe Ohio doesn't have the same problem with deranged drifters that Florida has, though.

You know that cellar has to be scary as all hell. I hadn't noticed the ladder until ishte pointed it out) but yes, I don't think I'd be sleeping in that room for that very reason.
