i came home the day of surgery. they put a scopolamine patch for motion sickness on me and other anti-nausea meds and went light on the general anesthesia. i woke up quck still nauseaous but more meds helped.

the tendon is repaired and i have good pics of it. he saidit was a very unusual tear my parents said of course it is. it's Dana. he also said i have the bones of a20 year old, shocking.

at 1 am i was sorry i came home because the nerve block wore off. three vicodain and 1 oxycontin did shit for pain other than to make me nauseaous. wanted morphine. but excruciating pain aside i'm fine. typing one handed is hard so i'll give up now

YAY! Glad it all went through all right. Get some rest and sleep and take care of those 20-year-old bones. :)

Glad you came through it okay (pain and nausea aside). Hoping now for a quick recovery and that the surgery has a successful outcome.

Yeah, that IV morpheine drip is one of the best reasons to at least stay overnight! Sorry you had a rough time last night, but hopefully it will ease up quickly since the surgery went so well. And that's great news about your bones, too - I'm jealous, since I just learned I have osteopenia. (I think it was all the years of high dose Prilosec and Zantac.)

Feel better, and take it easy!

While I'm sorry you're in pain & not feeling well, I'm glad the surgery went well and it's fixed. Feel better and update as soon as you feel up to it. (If it takes "forever" it takes "forever") *careful huggles*

Hoping you're not too sick to read--or can read this later when you feel better. And hopefully they sent you home with nausea meds.

Just very glad to hear it all went OK --and that you have great bones. Hope this heals quickly and you feel a whole lot better really soon.

I'm glad the surgery was successful, but for your sake wish the main meds were doing their job. Hopefully it'll lessen quickly.

I sent you a little something in your email inbox, so be on the lookout for it. Here's hoping that excellent surgeon plus successful surgery equals a functional and pain-free right arm in a few months. It would be nice to have at least one part of your body function the way it's supposed to. Is this the surgery in which you have your arm elevated for six weeks or so?
