It started after class for me! Whee! It snowed a freaking foot! Whee! The drive to school, trecherous. Whee! Got my car stuck in my driveway when I got home! Whee! I couldn't open the door to the car because the snow was too high. Whee! Forced my way out and shoveled out the car to get it in the garage, whee! MIght not be going anywhere on spring break after all. Waaaah!

I am trying to get to Madison. I might even get to stay in the bed and breakfast on State Street (b&b/bookstore/coffee house, I love this place). I'll let you all know. It's gonna snow every day this week. And damn my hand hurts after shoveling all that snow (thank god it was the powdery stuff). It was swollen BAD at work today (which annoys me because I haven't been typing that much in comparison to some days).

Unsung Heros - All those delightful people giving us feedback. Now you'll never really see me complaining or threatening not to write because I'm not getting feedback. I write this stuff for MY pleasure. Feedback is a gift and yes I do love it. The only time I complain about it is if I write something for someone in a ficathon and they don't bother to say anything. So to all of you who read my stuff and tell me what you think good and bad, thank you very very much. You're appreciated more than you know. I wish everyone would feed back more. I try to feedback everything I actually finish (which means I liked it because if I dont' I won't bother) Even a simple 'good story' is usually enough to make someone's day. And when I get my original fiction up for Aaronlisa's original fic ficathon, I hope you'll all tune in and let me know what you think.

I have trouble giving decent feedback. When I read something I like, I wanna tell the author that I liked it, but can never think of anything better than "I really liked this!" LOL. I don't want to go into too much detail about it, but I also want to give something more than that. And there are times when I can't explain why I liked it, just that I did. I do try to feedback if I like someone's stuff - I know myself it's a great ego boost, and that it spurs you on to do more. And like you, I dislike ppl who say "if you don't feedback, I'm not gonna write anymore". I don't like that whole "if you dont' do something for me, I 'm not doing anything for you." Write because you love writing - NOT just to have ppl praise you. But like I said, my feedback is so lame sometimes. Like, I wanted to tell Chris how much I adore her William series, but I couldn't come up with anything more coherant than "girl, you rock!!!" *snigger* And when trying to tell chelle why I liked her fics on the pov of spike and drucilla, I could only let her know that I liked them, and not exactly why. Methinks I need a course in feedback giving...

*idea!!*

feedbacking is an art really. Mostly I'm lazy and you get and 'i liked it and occasionally a few things I really liked.' Critiquing is yet another art form.

Don't get me started on that topic. It's one thing to cry about not getting feedback. We all do it occasionally because we feel hurt that apparently no one's reading. However, the people who blackmail you with the if you don't feedback I won't write more, just guarantee I'll delet their asses immediately.

Well, I did. I liked the 'darkness'. I like the way you wrote - it didn't come across as the standard 'she said, he said - then this happened etc' if you know what I mean. It was the short choppy sentences, showing more 'feelings' than the standard 'action'. Um, did that make sense at all?

Yep, lol, I know what you mean :) Thanks for the feedback (and you said you weren't good at giving it?? That was probably the best description someone's ever given me of the way I wrote those two fics!)

* grins* I always love your stuff hunny, but I think you know that, lol...Ooh I did put you on the features page at Reborn with your award for Cermony of Innocence.

*sigh* me love that fic!

I agree though, I am not a really known author and I love feedback, but I wouldn't stop if I didn't get it, but I'd never blackmail someone, thats just plain stupid and very childish....but I think people nowadays are just to busy to respond, like me, and I am sorry... But You are one of the most talented writers I know, and I love your work. *smiles*

Damn snow, it should go away!

Talk to you soon sweetie

Love Lea

Yeah, I completely agree! I try to give detailed feedback when I can but if the only thing I can think of saying is "I liked it!" I'll say it anyway cause even the least bit is enough to cheer someone up, or at least it's usually enough to make me really happy so I figure most others will be glad to know their story is being read.
