So for a couple weeks, Kanda has been very oily and the fur on his back was SO dusty that when he walked it was like PigPen . I have no idea where he'd been to get that dirty but it was gross. So dad and I washed him. Kanda knew something bad was going to happen. He ran and jumped for the stairs. He was too fat so he fell. He tried again and hit my arm in the process but I got him (Back to this later).
He made a strong silent protest about being bathed. Afterwards in the afternoon, something strange happened. All this kinky curly hair started surfacing. I eventually had to brush the living shit out of him and got so much fur out of him. Kanda hasn't cared about me in weeks. After this he has been glued to me begging pets. He's not sure WHAT he did to be so 'punished' but he is not maknig that mistake again.
I can NOT believe you did this to me.
You're both SO dead.
Happy birthday to
catw00man! Hope it was a great day.
Outside of working ectoparasite lectures, I decided to try to start one of my steampunk hats. I'm in the stage of $%^$&^%$&%# this doesn't look like what I had in my head. One of the baubles is totally wrong. It's going back. I think I have some of it worked out now. As I went thru Mom's stuff I found an old pin that would work.
But the real problem for me besides it not looking like what is in my head was I sorted thru my beads. I have too many. Too disorganized. Too everything. Also found TWO green girl pewter beads, one I though I had used hadn't and one that I had strung and it broke and I've never fixed it. I have SO many of those. I'm embarrassed by it all.
So as Mom and I were considering the hat, my shoulder started throbbing, by late afternoon the spasms started. I hurt it worse than I thought catching Lord Lardbottom II. It's nothing too bad but boy does it hurt.
I took a risk in Jana's blog but it bothered me so I had to speak up (not linking it you know where it is if you're interested).
I'm SO disappointed. All of mine are of one type.

Date: 2014-08-10 01:19 am (UTC)Ouch to your arm.
Yeah, I have problems with that, too, being creative and my work NOT matching what I see in my head.
You broke a Green Girl bead? Seriously? How?

Date: 2014-08-10 01:24 am (UTC)That seems to happen often with these creative endevours.
No not the bead, the necklace it was on. It's just lying in the bag with whatever beads (garnets) I had salvaged

Date: 2014-08-10 01:44 am (UTC)Good luck with your steampunk hat! I’m sure it will be lovely – don’t forget to post pictures!
I’m not sure I would attempt a hat – I have enough trouble making steampunk jewellery!
Talking of which…

If you want to donate them to a good home…. :o)
I hope your arm is better soon.

Date: 2014-08-10 02:48 am (UTC)I will post pictures. The hat isn't so hard really. I'm starting with a straw one and going from there.
haha you know some of the seed beads make me sad. I was taught how to weave them on the Lakota reservation but my hand injury made it so hard.
One day I might give away some of these
and thanks

Date: 2014-08-10 05:16 pm (UTC)Oh goodness – seed beads get everywhere, don’t they? I’m really impressed you got to use them on the reservation. How did you get to do that? Did they run lessons for the public or did you know somebody who lived there? I’m sorry its hard for you now though. Can you not get something to hold them while working?
I can wait! :o)
How’s the cat today? Did he creep up on you in the night to get his own back?

Date: 2014-08-10 06:43 pm (UTC)I was a reservation doctor. My patients taught me since I had an interest in their culture. It's not a matter of holding on, it's a matter of pain. What I need to do is remember I can't go for hours like I used to. I might only be able to do ten minutes at a time.
Yes I woke up at 4 AM with cat face right in mine as he stared down at me. Otherwise he's fine and feels SOOOO good.
