Jewelry Making question

So here is the amethyst necklace centerpiece I bought (In case you didn't want to wander over to Jana's to see it)



Thoughts for colors of beads/gemstones to go with it. Styles? I'm figuring this will be single stranded. Maybe.

I like to pair amethyst with either Rose Quartz or go towards the blue side with aquamarine or blue topaz, and then throw in some nice cultured pearls in some complementary tone. Alternatively, that amethyst is such a nice deep color, you could go for Fall tones with some Amber, some garnets, and maybe some lapis, and some copper colored cultured pearls (I was just looking at some of those I have last night.) It's a gorgeous pendant- I'm sure it will look great with whatever you make.

I was definitely thinking blue myself (I might even have blue gemstones here.) ooo the fall colors would be nice too and copper. you're right there. thanks

If that was mine, I'd hang it off a length of black velvet cord. It looks big enough to carry the piece by itself. If not, then a mix of purple & silver beads.

I'd go with silvers and pearls, especially the dyed pearls, like the smokey grey strand I have. Maybe add some bright green in there for contrast.
