I get more depressed daily about my arm. I can't move it overhead. I have such a work load that PT is nearly impossible. I'm trying. I'm trying hard but all I see is more disability for myself and I don't want it.

It's looking like Grandma is at the end of a long road. I just hope she doesn't die over the holiday for mom's sake. Mom lost her best friend over the holiday 2 years ago and that's enough. Grandma has lost interest in eating. She's tired and who can blame her. She's nearly 100.

In less depressing news, I got a nice sized royalty check, nothing great but nice. I keep hoping maybe a peer will nominate Kept Tears at the awards the goodreads group m/m romance has but I'm not holding my breath. In spite my best efforts I'm pretty much flying under the radar.

Speaking of which I didn't unfriend that girl on facebook who keeps tagging everyone in the pictures, mostly because it seems to be bringing me to the attention of so many readers and other authors so it's worth it.

Make time for PT! Really, truly. It has really helped me enormously. Maybe I would have finally gotten better on my own, but last April I couldn't raise my arm without pain. A few months of PT and I have almost no pain in any position. Of course I had probably just done a little damage, nothing at all like what you've been through, but it made me a believer.

Oh I know it will. This is my second time through this. It took a year last time. I'm just being whiney because I don't wnat it to take a year this time even though I KNOW it will. But I AM worried over the fact that it's being very slow and I have no feeling in the area and my insurance is forcing me to give up one of my PT devices

That's really unfortunate. Hopefully you won't need anything when you get to Medicare age, but I do appreciate their flexibility.

I agree with the comment above. Beg off some of the volunteer stuff you keep volunteering for and do your PT!

Also, I'm sorry about your Grandma, and hope she makes it through the holidays. My dad died a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and mom passed two years later a couple weeks before Christmas. It makes the holidays really hard regardless of their age or how sick they've been. (((hugs)))

Here's the thing I'm not volunteering to do anything. The only non-essential thing I'm doing is nano and athat keeps me sane. This new work schedule is wearing us all down and I'm one of the few who have to work fridays now. So that means I was volunteered (read ordered to) meet with a student for advising but have to wait 3 hours on them. Oh well grading will get done.

Thanks. I mean it's hard to be too sad about a woman who's clocked nearly a century of life. (My mom's friend's passing was much sadder or Mom's sister for that matter). I'm more worried how much of a dick dad is going to be over grandma's house. It's like it's not YOUR mom, let her kids worry about it (i.e. Mom and lucky uncle)
