Apparently Kanda is not missing me at all. He's having the time of his furry life. (more neighbors have been by and chimed in with how fat he is...) He's been 'Halloween catting' up and down the halls to prove how BIG he is and stalking my parents. At least he's a mild mannered and amiable beast.

And I'm UNAMUSED by the weather. It was in the 60s yesterday. I drove back home with the windows down at 9 last night, the last freaking night of November and this morning it was still in the 40s and raining. I get to Jackson tonight and clink. Oh no! clink clink. Oh fuck you too Mother Nature. Ice storm. Just what I needed.

So many tests to make, so few days. (I'm still working on one and it's past midnight)

So I found my old corset in a storage container apparently never opened since the dawn of time (or at least me moving here) judging by the t-shirts in it that I had no idea still existed. Here's the thing. I can jam myself into it but I'd be lying if I said it looked good.(I'm not sure it ever did). For one it's skin tight gold lame. Yeah me and flashy shit. And the lame is wearing off. I'm wondering if it would be hard to cut this up, saving the stays and the lace up and making my own corset a size larger from it. Am I that talented? Probably not but I'm not likely to do much with it and I can't find any in my size that aren't over 100$...

Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

I love corsets! But you’re right, they’re really difficult to find in the bigger sizes.

Rather than dismantle yours, could you recover it with something less… gold? You could add a piece into the back, or front, whichever works best. Anyway, aren’t corsets supposed to squish everything??

Okay that's an excellent idea thank you.

They are but this doesn't seem to work well with me at least not with this corset. I'm long waisted and the stays hit wrong (they are SO bent up) and the fabric clings so instead of flatting the belly and shoving up the breasts you get that over stuffed sausage look

What are the stays made from? If they’re plastic, they’re often too weak to do the job. I read somewhere that if you can’t afford to buy good ones, you can use that steel tape from packing crates. Never tried it myself, mind you. I think it might work but I think they could be a bit flat to work properly.

I can't tell since they're double sewn in but I'm betting from the malleable feel it's plastic.

steel tape? hmmm no we use plastic for that too here

I think you should do that with the corset - your Mom's a handy seamstress, isn't she? Maybe the two of you could work on it during the holiday break!

(sometimes I crack myself up.)

Why is a woman riding a Friesian while wearing silver lame and fake bunny fur on my television? Oh, it's a GAME. Of course it is.

I'm not sure either of us are this good but dark star had a good suggestion.

And I have no idea

That is a good idea.

It was a game. "Game of Thrones" or something.

No, no, it was a commerical for a game. Sorry, not Game of Thrones but War of Thrones? Maybe.
