Is shaping up to suck. Not only do I have to put up with Prejudice Girl twice, The doctors just gave me a Christmas present I didn't want. It's worse than I thought in yesterday's post. My entire lumbar spine is filled with degenerative arthritis (this I already knew) but also the hip on my bad leg is shot. Well this is going to be fun. I think I'm trying to rack up points on how many joint clean outs I can get before I'm 50. (I've already had three done). I'm pretty sure every joint except maybe my elbows are filled with arthritis. I feel old and worn out and just sad. I know there are a lot of people far worse off (thinking on today's horrible attack) but right now I hurt and I'm sad and rather lonely out here by myself.

I'm also sad that I do know I really should get a ranch house. Or not. Steps can be a challenge, keep me moving. And in 20 years move into senior housing. A plan... the perfect home for me

And a little more on the lines of a writely ways, how about some reader responsibility. How I would love to just ban people saying a short story is too short, a novella is too long for a short story (no duh) etc etc. I just got the it's too short comment. It's a story in an anthology. Pretty much that means it's going to be SHORT. Just saying.

Also if you put in your reviews and down grade your reviews (this hasn't happened to me but to friends) because you just want to see the m/m sex and the story didn't have enough/any of it, can I suggest you just stop buying our stuff. Go read pwp slash fanfic. We take a lot of time and effort to write a good story and if you're just in it for the sex, well, it says a lot really. And it's insulting. You don't care about the characters, their struggles/rights (often illustrated in the stories) you just want two hot guys going at it. (and dare I suggest real sex is never as pretty looking as you might want it to).

I just found out none of the meeting recorded on my recorder and I was depending on that. whee. head desk.

I did get the gifts mailed out and I 'decorated' my place half assed but done. I am the only one to do so. It's kinda creepy because this place usually does.

I really like that house! It looks pretty 'move in ready', appliances are included (NICE washer and dryer!), track lighting, fireplace, huge kitchen with tons of natural light, nice deck, great yard, no icky carpet and it's in your favorite city. What's not to love? And I don't think 'old people' with those ramps. I think how easy it will be to haul plants and bags of potting soil in a wagon etc. Our new house doesn't have stairs like our old one did, and I really enjoy the difference (truth is: stairs are a pain)

It's really nothing I can't handle, nothing like the shoulder was to be honest.

As far as ranches go but it's too far from work. It's on the highly commercialized side of Athens like a block off the Wal-Mart. Oh Google Earth registered trademark, you are a boon to house hunters. On the downside almost no Google vans have been here (probably afraid of the moonshiners) so there are street views of nothing.

Tell ya what--I used Google Earth to see a street view of our house here before we rented it--and checked out the neighborhood, compared to others. So glad I did!

Yeah! Stupid people! It's like they're treating it like a commission, where they didn't get exactly what they wanted. There's no reason to rate it that low,Just because the subject matter wasn't to their liking or they hated the style of writing.

Yeah last year I got a rating on the werewolf holiday story (the one that just got picked up for international rights) and got a 1 star rating with the tag 'eeeewwww werewolves.' My thought was why the hell did you buy it then? Or if you bought the whole advent calendar anthology why didn't you just SKIP the paranormal story if you don't like it.
