Christmas at Lucky Uncle's

But first happy birthday to astridv! Hope it was a great day.

So today was spent watching Harry Potter and getting ready to go to Lucky Uncle's. My aunt is a peculiar creature. You do not a) offer to help (not to serve, not to clean) because she has to have total control and b) do NOT bring any food unless specifically asked. I think she made a tad too much food. Ham, turkey AND roast beef, green bean cassarole (she makes that very well) stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cauliflower (i.e. HER niece and nephew, as opposed to all those on Lucky Uncle's side (me) are picky so she made a jillion things) and the perogies mom and I brought (we were asked), dips, some kind of ice cream sherbert cake (very good) and a pumpkin cheese cake someone forgot to unfreeze.

Prejudice Girl was pretty good. It was helped along by the fact that my cousin brought banana moonshine (real shine, not the stuff in the stores, don't even want to know). I think it was not as high a proof as she thinks because I drank half a wine glass full and if that were 140 proof I should have been under the table and I wasn't even buzzed. It was yummy though.

I'm NOT thrilled Prejudice Girl asked my parents to throw a New Year's party. I swear if they say yes I'm going out for the night. I don't even like going out on New Year's.

Because she's up here from NC staying at Aunt S2's house which is poorly designed for parties. Even though it's a big old house the rooms inside it are very small.

booze helps but now I'm up at 2:30 eating cookies because my sugar bottomed out so badly.
