The Last Writerly Ways of the Year
Dec. 28th, 2014 03:14 pmNo big thinky thoughts on writing, just my year in review. You can find my professional year here. I'm proud of it. So please go have a look.
I have non-erotica plans for the year too. They are as follows.
1. Find more willing first readers.
2. EDIT Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron I think that it could be successful. It's a YA urban fantasy/mystery with seers and werewolves. It's set in Madison and I wrote it years ago. I have no idea why I just can't get it edited.
3. FINISH Beneath the Torn Sky, my dieselpunk mystery. Placid, Julian and Melantha need their story told. I even started book two for nano 2013. I'm feeding this to my writers group now so I must finish it.
4. Keep noodling around with the faux Viking thing. While the character is pansexual, I don't see this as an erotica. If I don't get much interest in it, i will try the erotica publishers second.
5. Get a damn word press website made for Jana (if anyone knows how to do this and wants to help out, let me know. I'll work out something for your time).
6. Do camp nano and nano again this year.
And I think that's it. I have plenty of other things I could be working on. I'm trying to keep my to-do list more manageable in the hopes I'll DO it. And with that idea in mind, I'm going to keep my word count lower this year since a lot of what I want to do is finish and market things. I'm only shooting for 100K.
I am curious if there is anything you'd like to see me tackle (especially for Kept Tears). If anyone wants to volunteer for #1, we can work something out.
I'm not doing a yearly review for fanfic AGAIN this year. I've just not been reposting anything. I haven't even posted last year's big bang or even edit it. So another goal is to post the damn fanfics.
I did make my goal for this year. I am happy.
