It was nearly my breaking point today.

I almost cried today. On top of all the other crap that's happened this week, I got into class and felt a ping. My earring back hit my shoulder. That's when I realized I had lost one of my brand new blue diamond earrings Mom had gotten me for the holidays. I left the classroom on the pretense of complaining about the computer's lack of internet (true). I scoured the halls, the bathroom and the secretary's office. Nothing. It wasn't on my office floor or visible on my desk. I got lucky. It was on my desk UNDER a stack of file folders (WTF) but man, I felt sick. Those are the most expensive earrings I've ever owned. So much so I didn't want Mom to buy it but she insisted. It was for grandma to give me at Christmas (who always wanted me to have diamonds so she made mom go get me some).

ANd seriously I'm in the worst room I've ever been in and haven't been in since 2006. At least there's a lap top in there now but damn I'm practically sitting in the students' laps.

Also lost my parking permit. Found my OLD one (explain to me self why you didn't throw that out years ago). Finally found it when I got home between the floor mat and the winter floor mat...okay then.

And my sore tooth was actually an infected gum that drained this morning. gross. feels much better now though. I'm pretty much hating 2015 so far.

The other night I had to chase a cat off my bureau and knocked over my entire RACK of earrings -- spent a day poking around in the dust under my bureau and shoe rack trying to find everything... finally did, but almost lost one of the little Sculpy gingerbread men I got from an artist on Etsy -- not as valuable as a diamond, but certainly one of a kind! I found it on the shoe rack, WHEW. I need to get that rack attached to the wall again, it's too precarious where it is.

Long story short, GLAD you found that earring. I hate losing single earrings(and I never can get rid of the single one I have left... for whatever reason...)
