And January's suck keeps on rolling

cornerofmadnessThe only thing I can say is at least I'm not in Boston. I hope my friends who are, are fairing okay (I know Flippy is).
As for me I had a stressor I didn't need. Right around 12:30 in the morning my computer just froze. At first I thought it was another abode crash/plug in issue but the whole thing stopped. I couldn't do anything include save the story I had been working on. Turning on and off did nothing. It was edging in on One in the morning so I gave up. I was so upset. I had no viral warnings from my protector. I was sick to my stomach. This morning the same thing happened....then I realized it responded to the keyboard but not the mouse. Hey could it be the mouse? You know the one that's barely a year old? Yes, yes it could be. Now if I had only had that burst of brilliance before I went to bed this morning I would have been spared the sleepless night and GI distress.
If nothing else,I'm good and tired now which is good since I have to go to bed early because I have to be at work before 8 on Wed and Friday this semester. Blech.
I finally fixed my shower. I tried WD-40 on it last week with no results. Last night I tied a bag of CRL around it (the doo dad that shifts it from shower head to tub spigot is frozen) for 24 hours. STILL couldn't move it. I hit it with a hammer. That moved it. THEN I WD-40ed the daylights out of it. It's moving fine now. Note to self: make sure ALL the damn WD-40 is out of the tub before getting in. WD-40+water+tub makes ice seem sturdy and full of friction.
Dear rodent please stop building fiberglass nests in my heating ducts. It keeps blowing into the bedrooms.
The little deer is on the parent's back patio now curled up by the BBQ grill. She is a clueless wild animal.
strange cat back from the ‘dead’ story It has some graphic pictures, just saying. Oddly I knew someone this happened to but it was a dog.
I don't know if anyone's heard this Jennifer Lawrence song for Mockingjay pt 1
I have to say it really reminds me a lot of Billie Holiday's Strange Fruit. It's very creepy really. See for yourself. Here's a rare video of Billie herself singing it (there are other versions with pictures of lynchings from the time but that is tough).
