You know your day is going to be long and suck-tastic when the 30 red solo cups in your lab filled with proteolytic enzymes and decomposing muskrat skulls is NOT the smelliest thing going on. Yep that's right something out-stank 30 red solo cups filled with dead heads.

And while I liked him in the beginning this video's objectification of women (and the fact he sounds utterly drunk) is why I have less than a single shred of respect left for Toby Keith.

Note to self: In making hot and sour soup there IS such a thing as too much of a good thing. If you overload it on rice vinegar and garlic-chili paste the boiling fumes will be lethal, just saying.

I don't know what's more ludicrous, Felicity being half-seduced within days (weeks?) of Oliver's 'death,' NO ONE calling in the National Guard like it was suggested before caving in to one thug with a gun, Laurel trying to be Black Canary (maybe she'd stop falling down if she weren't in heels), Trying to convince her father she's her sister (real astute there, Dad), Black Canary trying to take on a man three times her size (with a gun) instead of instantly escaping, or most unbelievable, Oliver doesn't even attempt or suggest getting in touch with his team to let them know he's alive or at least suggesting it's too dangerous to let Raj a ghoul (boy I spelled that wrong) know he's alive. The show is getting to the point I can barely watch which is sad because it was doing much better this year, barring Ollie's sister who I kinda hope ends up assassin chow.

12 days writing challenge Day 9: Turn on your TV. Write down the first line that you hear and write a story based on it.

Day 10: Go sit in a public place and eavesdrop on a conversation. Turn what you hear into a short love story (no matter how much you have to twist what they say).

Day 11: Write the acknowledgments page that will be placed in your first (next?) published book, thanking all the people who have helped you along the way.

I'll circle back to 9 & 10 some day but I have 11 which pretty much ends the challenge. Day 12 is to pick something and polish it and go with it. That something will be this acknowledgment page for my next novel.

The writers' group is Dragon's Sandbox. You'll never remember it because it makes absolutely no sense--it's a mashup of two working titles from back when the group originally formed.
