Thunderpunching throats for science

One of my students looked at the thyroid slides today, thought for a moment and asked what would happen to it if you got throat punched. I explained why it would be bad but the REST of the day I found SO MANY people I wanted to test this on so the students could see. Come here, I'm going to throat punch you for science (and because you are annoying me to death).

I did my best to get fired today. Me and another school of science prof went after administrators today over the block schedule in our faculty goverance meeting. Torn paper tigers up all over. Must have been impressive because i heard other members telling those who had to miss it how good I did. evil_little_dog and silvrethorn will tell you that I'm like a bulldog in an argument.

Speaking of throat punching people, I'm adding the moron who delivered my flowers today to the list. Thanks for leaving them in the snow. They're all dead. Money well wasted.The roses made it but the rest die. Mom's pissed and calling them up. They were SUPPOSED to call me for a delivery time.

My first PT appointment did NOT go well. She agrees with me. The doctor did NOT get my diagnosis right. While there is trochanteric bursitis and she gave me stretches for it. She touched all over my hip and back and I could barely stand it. Watching me move her eyes bugged. 'that is NOT bursitis. You have arthritis.' Yeah, no shit. She's like 'the whole prescribed treatment is unlikely to do anything for all this pain.' I did sign up for a couple more sessions of ultrasound and stretching exercises but I think I'm calling my brother tomorrow and ask if he thinks I should get a second opinion back at the clinic that did my surgery. I am SO unhappy with life right now.

I did go to Buffalo Wild Wings for take out and since it wasn't ready the girl gave me a complimentary soft drink(I asked for water...oh diabetes) and then decided they cheated me on the onion rings and made them cook me up a second order. Sweet.

One of the most corrupt sheriffs is right here in Athens Whee. AND we've had 6 heroin OD's in Gallipolis this week, three fatal. Must be a new stronger cut (or tainted) and if you knew how small Gallipolis was you'd understand why that's significant.

I tried. some one in my department hung me and EB out there to dry (he only teaches upper levels and is far less affected by this.
