Mom and Dad and I went to my brother and SiL's house to play cards. John wanted Dad and I go head straight to the Mountaineer casino. Dad was getting hot hands. I got FOUR natural straights and one natural four of a kind. It was definitely the night to hit the casino. Too bad Dad hates casinos.

Tomorrow I head back to OH. If you don't hear from me well just know I have no idea if my internet is fixed or not. As I left my neighbor said his was fine so that could mean I had a bad router or worse malware gumming up the works.

I did nothing really all day. I was so exhausted all morning I could barely wash clothes. Then it was time for dinner before I knew it. We did go back to Grandma's to get more of my stuff out of the ~~well of souls~~ the hand-dug basement. Also stopped to see Aunt S2. Her 18 y.o. cat had to be put to sleep yesterday. That's the second one this year and both had mouth tumors and they were not related. So weird.

John worked on my bad hip. He said part of the problem was the ASIS joint was out (i.e. the hip and sacrum were out of joint. The PT down home thought it might be). He popped that in. Yeah that was painful. It'll take days not to be painful. Whee.

Also weird, my brother and I are true believers in ghosts (our parents aren't but Mom's in severe denial). He was talking about his former clinic (he worked it with our cousins. He just took a new job this week) about all the footsteps, knocks and bangs that were there. Others have heard them. The building has an odd feel. Anyhow, two days after Grandma passed something was slamming the curtains against the wall (windows unopened, vents not in play) but that's not the weird thing. His former PTAs were there this week early in the morning and something kept opening the closet door and making noises around his former desk. One of them joked it was probably his grandmother looking for him and asked if it was her. Two loud knocks sounded immediately and freaked the girls out so much they texted John to come get his grandma.
