My brain is haunted

I haven't had a dream this long and involved in a while. It began at my grandmother's house but that's all I remember about it other than there were ghosts. I have to admit, I have a little fantasy going on right now where I get a job back home and move into grandma's house. Here's the thing, it's the ONLY part of back home I dream about regularly and it's never in a particularly good way. I always dream about malignant ghosts or bad magic in connection.

Anyhow on to the parts I remember well. I was with my friend, L. We were in a library. It wasn't a library I knew. It felt wrong. I was on edge. A little girl came up to me and said 'there's a really bad ghost here.' That explained the feeling I had and then I heard a man's voice say L's name loudly. I knew it wasn't a human who had said it.

I went looking for L. She was backing out of the stacks, shaking and crying but I couldn't get her to tell me what was wrong. She pointed into the stacks. I didn't see any ghosts but there were a few people there browsing, including another biology faculty member, DA. He just looked up at us smiling as if he couldn't see that it was snowing inside the building and the feeling of menace was overwhelming.

I woke up at that point, shaking. Now I've been a ghost hunter for 30 years and don't rattle easy so why my brain decided that was enough to scare me....

I fell back to sleep and I didn't quite go back into this dream but it felt connected like I had just left the library. It was dusk and I was driving to a meeting in my mini-Cooper. I know it was just a casual meeting and apparently I was tired because the next thing I knew I felt high grass and bushes smacking me in the face through the open window. I slammed on the brakes realizing i had fallen asleep at the wheel and was off the road.

I get out of the car to assess the damage and see I'm teetering on top of a grassy path to the bottom of the hill. It looks like other cars have gone down there. A few locals were standing around and saying yeah it's a dangerous curve and a lot of people just drive down through the grass to the bottom. Also I should stand back because my car is going over the edge. I reach in and grab the car seat and the door and lift the car up and put it back on the road. They're stunned. I laugh and say what do you expect? It's a tiny car.

I get to the meeting and someone is showing me around the place, a young lady, office-manager type and then she escorts me to an auditorium/theatre room and we're sitting in these old fashioned red velvet seats. I can't sit still. I'm squirming everywhere. I even have my feet over the back of the chair in front of me (I never do that) and I'm aware I need to stop this because I'm making a bad impression but I can't stop myself. Then horror strikes: omg is this a job interview? I say this isn't the big interview? I'm only dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt. Why am I only dressed in jeans? She assures me it's not but keeps eyeing me funny because I can't sit still.

Sadly I woke up before I ever met whoever it was I was there to see.

It's been a while since I've had a tactile, full color, full sensory dream

In the latest dream, I was in another old huge house, and while unpacking, I found all the missing things I've not been able to find here, including my amber necklace and my wolf bone necklace. And my missing toys.
