Today blew

cornerofmadnessIt started when I went to bed. I felt a little icky but thought maybe I had gastritis from all the coffee. At 2 AM I woke up shaking and very nauseated. I thought okay sugar's low. it wasn't. It was normal. I didn't sleep much the rest of the night (just long enough to have another of my labyrinth dreams but can't really remember it). I've been chilled, nauseous and exhausted all day. Then I had allergy bullshit, nose/sinus issues sore throat, generalized loss of will to go on.
Co-workers and students could see I was ill. At least the finals in lab went off well but none of the biology students showed up for new student orientation. That's not a good sign.
All I wanted to do was go home. Instead I had to go to Chillicothe (45 miles away) to get my oil change/tire rotation. It took weeks to get that appointment. I go. They have MeTV. I kinda want this station. It's ALL oldies, Star Trek, ChiPS, MASH, Emergency 51. I can retreat into my childhood and hide there. I was sad because I was there at 2:45 and Star Trek wasn't on til 4. I got to watch the whole fucking episode (a bad one, Metamorphesis). They put on a defective oil filter and of course didn't want that to happen but somehow couldn't find another one in a speedy fashion OR come tell me hey by the way.... They did it for free.
I went to Olive Garden. I've had gift cards for years now (I don't really like OG that much. It's okay but not so much this one) I got the one thing I know I like the braised beef tortelloni which anywhere else has thin, fork-tender bits of beef. This is the second time I've gotten hunks of nasty stew meat at this OG. (the pasta part is still yummy though). I couldn't eat it because of my stomach so I'll eat it tomorrow.
Came home and finished my edits because the internet was dead anyhow.

I don't use scrivener or other writing software. For me, in general it would be a waste but man right now I wish I did because I would love to shove scenes around in Blood Red Roulette.
