Got a new piece of luggage
Jun. 5th, 2015 09:32 pmA purple bag from Macy's since they were having a big sale. I also got a pair of sandals on big sale too. That was nice. Macy's has good sales.
Mom and I hit that dinner I wanted to take dad too. It was very good, so his loss. I had a gyro and mom had massive monte cristo.
Took back mistakes from the first shopping trip and got home in time to turn around to go to The Crooked Dock in Wellsburg Wv because my brother was buying an early father's day dinner. The wings were good, the view was better. It really makes me rethink getting that river side house.
I got another chapter of Blood Red Roulette done so huzzah! I'm happy with that.
Tonight I bring you inside the Alamo and part of my Grand Tour, The Japanese Tea Gardens. Might be something helpful for
wildrider but she might have seen this stuff before.
This is from inside the Alamo that you can't see from the outside. I thought it was pretty.
I had no idea the Alamo was once used as a warehouse.
It must have been a well for the monks
I had to dink with this picture and it still isn't right but it's not bad.
You couldnt' take pictures inside the long barracks but these held more fascination for me than the Alamo Mission building.
The Japanese tea garden, as a I mentioned last week was renamed Chinese during WWII and now has been probably renamed but they thought the gate was too beautiful to tear down.
I had been rained on, then it was hotter than the sun so I'm not looking my best.

You can really tell it was a rock quarry here.
have a washed out selfie
That moment where i realized I would have to walk up all the steps I just came down.

Date: 2015-06-06 12:36 pm (UTC)There is so much gorgeous architecture in this area.

Date: 2015-06-06 06:01 pm (UTC)I think that was the biggest surprise to me. I never considered SanAntonio would have a rich art deco architural treasure. NYC, Chicago sure, but Texas never leaps to mind

Date: 2015-06-06 10:33 pm (UTC)Dang it, now I want gyros, too. I wish Cypress Gardens hadn't closed... (I'm planning on making teriyaki for dinner, but now I want to run out and find a gyros place.)
