Made it to OH with Mom

The bad news: My apartment complex flooded as expected. The good news: It didn't get into my kitchen but did back up into the toilet. It was filled with mud (we have this weird septic system that must have gotten drowned out).

The idiot who blocks the drive way and another neighbor carried the tv in for us which was nice of them. We got the stuff in the storage unit and got the tv set up and the other one put back in the box. It was a chore but at least it's done.

I have no less than 6 trees growing in my garden 0_0! I'll deal with them when I return after the sixth.

We'll go home tomorrow. Mom wasn't amused. We split the driving. We stopped at a rest stop half way here. It rained the whole time she drove. It rained as we went into the rest stop. It stopped when we came out and didn't rain once the entire drive for me. She's still grumbling about that.

Naturally she bitched the place was a mess. I told her that before we left. I told her not to worry about it.

She wanted to get me some lawn furniture, an end table and a dehumidifer. I thought the latter was too expensive. The lawn furniture was rated right around my weight so that made me nervous and the end table is still up in the air. I might get it.


My periods have been light and only a day or two all year. Until this one. It's rather insanely heavy like it used to be back when I was younger. Ah thanks for nothing perimenopause

Aren't you incredibly lucky with your period? Mine have been awful this year. But they've always been awful, except when I was on depo.

actually that was worrisome since I know from a recent ob/gyn that my estrogen levels are normal so that shouldn't be happening

I highly recommend a dehumidifier. We bought one years ago, running it mostly in the winter (because we don't use the heat very often). Our unit is a Goldstar. We also run a Honeywell HEPA air purifier year-round.

I definitely did
