How to go from zero stress to 100 in .6 seconds

Today was even worse than imagined. Barely more than half of the 11 students even showed up. So yeah I'm working with about a 1/3 of a class. So worth me coming back here. Eye rolls. At least they seemed intentive. Here's hoping.

However, I found out a prominent local college of note will NOT take my A&P class AT ALL. Now I'm pretty fucking pissed and I'm going to try to get to the bottom of this. I don't know if they're basing it on old info (I could see this with the original class I took over being only 1 semester), if it's their notorious 'we only take our own students' but I WILL find out. I mean two local medical schools, PA schools, PT schools ALL take my class without question but they won't for OT school??

I was too tired in Jackson while shopping for food I forgot to go get my meds head desk

Then going thru 6 weeks of mail I saw my car/renters insurance was due. I thought past due but at least I have a week. thankfully. However, my student loan needs to have all the fucking income based paperwork done again and that buried the stress-o-meter.

Not to mention my 900$ check wasn't in the mail Maybe it's at the office.

On the plus side I got three books I asked for at the conference. I got my tax write off paperwork AND my novel got to the head of Queer SF to take to Florida to that con.

Also a question for everyone. What sort of shifter would you like to see? DSP is doing a shifter anthology and I wanted to use a Lakota character (as the NON-shifter for a change) and I really REALLY don't want to do a werewolf. It does not have to be a south dakota animal. I think i'll set it Deadwood but since my shifter will probably be a tourist....

Why do they register for your class if they aren't going to show up for it? Do they forget? Change their minds? Think it's going to be mostly online? I can't imagine wasting tuition money by blowing off classes, but then I'm old and we just didn't do these things when we were in college.

I'll be sure to stop by the Queer SF table and ask for your novel and say hi to your friend who's selling it for you. It's going to be an interesting weekend.

I have NO idea and it happens all the time. It's so stupid. A lot of them do it to get the check and then run off with that money.

They're not actually selling my novel sadly. It was just one for the giveaway. Next year I DO plan to sell come hell or high water.
