It was SO hot in my house when I got home. I couldn't figure out why. THen Kanda came over for pets. He was FREEZING.

At least he's not completely stupid. He IS however being bad. I'm not sure if it's the storms or more likely the long hours I'm gone but he's been BITING me bad. Just attacking the shit out of me while crying. I am distracting him with toys. I think he's lonely and wants attention. Biting me isn't the best way to get attention.

I found out why Bob Evans sold me food on paper plates the other day when I had no power. Rio Grande's sewage treatment plant was under water. There was nowhere for wash water to go. Also that means the water was undrinkable since it was flushing into the ponds that make up the drinking water. Special

I am supposed to be in Florida right now. I am very depressed that I am not.

I had the weirdest dream. Fragmentary but all so very weird. I dreamt about being in a museum with someone...some alien who was criticising the dinosaur displays because he had seen them in person (no not Dr. Who, not that cute) and he kept drawing the 'real' things on the walls. He was good.

Then it morphed and I was inside the room looking out at this balcony. Mom was out there with some other woman and a giraffe kept nuzzling them. The other lady was thrilled because she was sexually aroused by giraffes (seriously brain What the holy fuck?).

Then it changed again and I was with a heavy set cop guy that I thought needed to be on Major Crimes but wasn't one of the characters. He was stabbed by his girlfriend and we got them both out of there but I went into his apartment and into his bed (again WTF?) and there were pieces of broken red glass in it. THen soaking up through the sheets were words, like a warning then blood-soaked news articles.

Then I woke up. Thankfully

indeed. Because I have an all electric house with no electricity and Jackson is so without power they're STILL having on the radio news alerts to stay the hell home for all the workers. Also I wanted to try their new broasted chicken (not bad, relatively inexpensive)

I wasn't sure if I was doing it right (format-wise). It opened in a mail viewer and wouldn't allow me to interact with it, not even copy and paste.

I have NO idea why it would do that. It's just a normal word document file unless you have no word processing software. maybe it's docX and that's why....

it's an older computer, but not old enough to have had word installed as base software. we used to get so much more when we bought a desktop pc.... the cheap bastards didn't even put word in my brand new $800 laptop (we don't even have solitaire or any of the other free already installed games on here)

and I would honestly never use it if I did have word, so it's not worth buying - but it sure would be nice to have it provided like it used to be so I can help my friends edit their stuff

you could just download open office. It does all the same stuff for free but the editing isn't as good. It's what I have on my netbook. though I have to say you got ripped on the laptop because that's about what i paid for a full microsoft package via costco

Bob Evans is not my favorite (shhhh, my school shares land with the original Bob Evans farm. It's a BIG deal) They DO have amazing breakfasts (which are available all day) the rest is meh, 'homecooking' which isn't my favorite food style
