Sprinkled on Shakespeare

Between grocery shopping and going to Chillicothe for the play I didn't get much done other than my test for tomorrow. I actually DO have an idea for a writerly way but there was no time for it. However, since I haven't put up a word count for a month or more have that.
Yearly word count -
So I'm halfway to the goal and the year is half gone so it works.
As for Shakespeare, a friend picked me up and we drove to Chillicothe to meet the crew. I wish she hadn't in a way because she wanted to drive on to Cinnicinati tonight and would have had to run me back down and back up there adding like 40 miles to the trip. I rode back with another friend. Hell I was going to drive myself because I was going to go shopping. If she had just said that I would have. Oh well no harm no foul.
We all (8 of us) went to Olive Garden for dinner. It's not my favorite restaurant but I went with the seafood pasta because it was the thing I could feel the least guilty about leaving (since we would be out for hours without refrigeration). I might look like I eat a ton but I don't in a single setting. So things like their two chicken breast dinners would be such a waste. I picked out the seafood, ate as much pasta as I was comfortable doing and left the rest.
The play was where they do the long-lived Tecumesh! play (it's about a Shawnee chieftain betrayed by the settlers. I saw it 20 years ago there). It was an outdoor setting complete with mosquito breeding pond. I got munched on. It was also FREE. I did end up buying a 10$ poster I didn't need to help support the endeavor.
It wasn't bad. We saw As You Like It, one of the gender bending comedies. Unfortunately the lead, Rosalind, didn't project well enough for the outdoor setting so half the play was sort of swallowed up. After the break and night settled it got a bit surreal. My friends and I were talking bad book titles that had been on a Comedy Central show including 'A dinosaur forced me Gay.' Well afterward the melancholy character comes out with a fake dead deer carcass and TH leans over and says 'A deer forced me gay' and then the actor more or less fakes humping it. We about fell out of our chairs.
Also at break it started smelling like an outhouse. The wind had shifted and we were now downwind of the horse stables (used for Tecumesh). Then there was this noise like a girl screaming. It happened a couple of times before I realized it was a horse. Hey we had a serial killer running around. What can I say? Also the bats loved the lights over the pond.
I didn't home til nearly 11. Another good night. I'll do the self love meme tomorrow.
