As if to prove how out of it I was last night

I totally forgot to work on the test for tomorrow. Guess who was running around like a crazy person now.

I started the day with so much heart burn I decide to pull out all the alpha lipoeic acid pills that I'm on trial with for the neuropathy. I'm sure the 'acid' part isn't helping but I felt well. Packed a bag so I could ride the bike after work.

By class two I was down. Like actually sitting on a stool in front of class. That rarely happens. I bounce all around the front. I never felt better. Didn't go exercise. Came home. No call from my doctor's saying i had an appt. Sigh. Go online to call Columbus and see if they at least got the referral.

And the god damn internet was down again. I race back to the office in my shorts and t-shirt because I was supposed to be moderating the alien/magical races forum on Queer Sci Fi. Did a little of that. Apologized for being mostly absent. Couldn't call Columbus because it was too late but googled their 5 offices to find the ones that were best for me. All of hem are 90+ miles away. I will call tomorrow.

Came home. Worked on tests. Still feel like I've been dropped out of the devil's asshole.

But in the good side of things E.S. sent me two fun things today. Scientific American, Nature and Tor come together to bring us a Quantum Physics flash fic challenge Mind boggling.

Oh, Mom's lung specialist said her cough isn't related to her lungs at all but might be some sort of acid reflux? (That's what I get out of this 2nd hand, at least.) He's put her on additional prilosec stuff.

She's having her second appt with the lung specialist this month? Early next month? He says her lungs are at 80% and fine. He's the one who thinks there's a problem with her esophagus.

For what it's worth, I took alpha lipoeic acid for a while, but quit because it gave me, you guessed it, heartburn. Acid is acid. Too bad, because I did feel better while I was taking it. It didn't always set my chest wall on fire, but it did it often enough to be an issue.

I don't blame you for skipping the exercise session, but I hope you at least walked a little. You're coming up on the best weather right now, so you're going to have great walking conditions (mine are still over a month away--still too hot and muggy to walk right now).

I'm guessing the internet thingy under your building corroded again. How could it not, given where it's located. They seriously need to move that thing away from the muck and whatever else is lurking under the apartment floors (and trickling down through them).
