Like now when I see I finally got a review on Snowbound and it's a bad one. Sigh.

Or that I finally finished Simmer and it's 4000 words too long. Eep. I thought the word count was 15K it's 12. Bangs head.

Got home to make my call to the gastroenterologist and was puzzled by the questions until I realized that they weren't setting me up for a consultation but rather the surgery. I was SO upset. It took two weeks to get this far and then to find out my doc told them it was for the endoscopy. YES I know I'll need one but my stomach is a mess. I have TONS of back story to go with it. I'm like don't you think this is 'bad' medicine but then the receptionist is like 'that's what your doctor wanted.' Well I DON't. I haven't been seen in years. SHouldn't we go over my history, my meds, tests I've already had? They WOULD NOT set me up for a consultation because that's not what the referral was for. I have to start all over again.

I'm this close to saying fuck it and just going back to the loser here. I was in tears. It's NOT that big of a deal but it's been so frustrating.

And now my brother isn't coming. I'm not all together upset by this. i'm much less stressed this way. I have to call him tomorrow and make sure.

In the minor victory column the part of the steampunk spectacle I said I'd do isn't until the afternoon. I thought I'd have to be there all day. I'm relieved as I'm not feeling well. I'm a little cold. It's 75 in the house. It's not cold so I must be getting ill.

Mom and Dad are on their way to the beach. I told them to swing by and get Kanda. He might appreciate a giant litter box.

The Warriors Ride again I know most of you have probably seen this but there you go. I did not see this movie when it came out, mostly because I was 12 and wouldn't have been allowed to. It saw it much later and didn't love it nearly as much as some friends.

Oh have I mentioned ants are still pouring in? Dead ants thanks to the 50 gallons of poison on that door but still.

We've talked about "Simmer" And while it's pain to edit down, if they don't pick it up, you have a novella. You know, if you could always write 2 more novellas with those characters & then publish them all together. They are engaging characters & I'd love to see Ryan learn more about "Shield" & see how things end up with him & Santino, beyond that lil tease in "Simmer." :D

This is also why I hate going to the doctor. XD You're the patient & no one thought to explain to you that surgery was an option & you'll being having that op next BLANKday? o.0

You know I never had a problem like this at a doctor's before. I think it was just miscommunication between me and my primary care doctor but it's still frustrating.

You're welcome. Either they genuinely didn't care for it, which is nice they were honest about it, or they're just a troll. Nine times out of 10 they're simply trolls. I don't mind the thoughtful bad reviews, especially when they tell you how to fix it. Saying something like they feel more in lust than in love along with a simple slow the relationship down a bit & think about how you'd want a relationship to go, helps more than just saying "it sucks!!" or "I HATE it!!" Then again, sometimes no matter what you write you can't please a reader. *looks at the readers who just want PWP*

Yeah. Speaking of cats... I was in a petco this morning & there was a pair of older kittens that were having fun pouncing on each other! And there was an adorable white & orange tabby! Such a sweet looking little cat! I really wish I wasn't so badly allergic. Even with my birds, I'd have taken them home! And someone had a pitbull puppy that was sooo friendly & sweet too. And the birds... Sometimes I think I must have been a zookeeper/naturalist/veterinarian in a previous life. ;p

Your two-star reviewer is the same person who left the three-star review for Darkest Midnight. At least she's a thoughtful reviewer, and probably fair (I didn't win a copy of Soldiers, so I haven't read it in its entirety). She mentions some of the very issues you've complained about yourself while you were writing that book and other erotica. Not a troll, in other words, and safe to read when you're feeling brave.

Amazing screw-up with the GE. I don't even know what to say, this is such a huge miscommunication. Why _wouldn't_ he want a consultation first, if he's never seen you before? Or does he just start every case with an endoscopy and consult once he's seen what's inside you?

Yeah, probably better your brother stays away, especially if he has issues with, say, millions of dead ants stuffed inside apartment doors. Less stress for you.

All I can think of is maybe he thought the doctor had done everything and was just in need of surgical assist but no I would NEVER have just jumped into a surgery without a consultation in my practice unless of course it's ER work but that's different. I'm pretty fucking annoyed.

My brother does but he's like why are you cleaning? I wasn't staying with you anyhow? (With his and his wife's health issues and mine and me with one bathroom he feels more comfortable in a hotel room)

here's my thought on that. You can write what you have passion for. (as opposed to 'write what you know.')

I have no passion for romance. It's beginning to show. I think I'll finish up the stories I have but it's time to REALLY start getting back into my non-erotica lines and trying again. I haven't marketed one in years, like nearly a decade

Aaah... Sounds like a plan! Good luck with it. Honestly, I tend to read non-erotica & if there is some sex, as long as it works in the story-line I'm good with it. :D And while I like to write romance, I really don't care for romance books. XD I find them silly & the romance unrealistic. XD
