cornerofmadnessHis name is flu vaccine. Good god that hurts. My endocrinologist jacked me up with one of those. The whole arm is one giant ache.
Other than that, my HGA1C is going back up. not as bad as before Invokana but still. He has no idea why I'm never getting better. I have one helluva resistance to insulin. Damn you diabetes.
Also my blood pressure was 118/62. My heart's barely trying. On the other hand, atherosclerosis and hypertension go with diabetes so I seem to be doing good on that front. Take my victories when I can.
Other than it was another boring day of not writing nearly as much as I should and doing no cleaning at all. Got a few things graded if nothing else and I'm taking the test I'm giving tomorrow to be sure it's not all screwed up.
One of my friends is putting out an anthology and the proceeds go to Doctors without Borders. Yes it is m/m and it seems to be mostly fantasy. You can check it out here.

Nano Snippet - Note: Smoke is a cat-like creature about the size of a lynx. Scrubbing his hands over his eyes, Kaleo stood under the spray until he got his damn emotions under control. Slapping the red button, he walked into the fucking force shield, underestimating how quick it turned off. As he stepped out, Kaleo froze. Smoke sat there watching him.
“Devs....”
That was all he needed, to get his privates bit off by Shyroth's monster cat-thing. She watched him as he grabbed the towel and dry off. She did rub on his naked leg once he tried to get past her. It sent a shiver up him. Damn, why did every touch feel like intimacy to him? He'd never been like that until the Toyhouse. Still, Smoke didn't seem threatening, more like a cat wanting attention.
He quickly drew the robe around himself. It was a flimsy shield between his privates and her. It didn't help knowing that he had a glittering piercing dangling on his scrotum, thanks to those Toy fuckers. It probably looked like a cat toy. Kaleo hopped up on the bed and debated slipping under the covers
